Mate, I seriously owe you a beer or something. Just fixed the tumble dryer for £12 as compared to £100+ to get someone to fix it for me. God bless KZbin and this bloke.

Awesome video, this is my problem. Part ordered. 8.5uf. One questions the connections 1 red 1 black and the 2 black. Does it matter which "peg" I attach them to?

just tried this, drum did not start turning - what now? thanks for video by the way
@thecajunbritishexperiment.61905 жыл бұрын
I replaced mine. Wasn't starting at first. But I gave the drum a push (or a few pushes) and it went. Turned it off, turned it on and it went on it's own.

So I push hard or just a little push

This solved my problem. I found I didn't need to push that hard.

😲😲😲🤦🤦🤦🙈🙈🙈 WOAH! STOP! If anyone is going to to change the capacitor you must safely discharge first or you will get a pretty hefty jolt. If you don't understand how a capacitor works, have the equipment or know how to safely discharge then you should question your competency to carry out this task. Safety first people!

This is the third video in a row which overlooks this important safety issue.
@grahamemerton70383 жыл бұрын
@@necrographical agreed. I have been caught out by these in my earlier years as an engineer and it's not just a tickle.....you will only ever do it once.
