We needed some help from a good friend who had to lend us his expertise with the angle grinder I did buy a cheap one from B&Q but it didn't have no blade anyway it so amazing following all your advice we got the dryer working smiles all round with God help. everyone is hpp

Excellent video, thanks for putting it up! Very easy to understand and follow, helped me find the issue I was experiencing (turns out the noise my machine was making was because the middle of the wheel in the jockey bracket had shattered, so the wheel no longer turns smoothly). Spare part ordered, Mrs has stopped looking at new tumble dryers, potentially 100's of £ saved! Well chuffed.

Excellent video. I have this machine, it was recalled due to a fault where fluff builds up inside and actually makes it all the way up to the heating element. How do manufacturers get away with consistently putting machines with such dangerous faults on the market. They really should mandate regularly servicing for these cheap dryers so that an engineer can inspect for problems the owner would miss. The true cost of these machines quickly adds up after a few service calls.

Hi! I just put back the belt but it is too tight, i cant get it to the motor, is there a way to make it easier? I dont have the metal tube but with how much hard it was to get it to the spot, i dont think it would be enough to get it to the motor, thanks!

I’ve just repaired a hotpoint condenser dryer , I was surprised how poorly the machine was made dust and fluff everywhere inside which is a fire hazard round the motor.

My dryer is almost the same as this, and recently, it's become very noisy (like I'm trying to dry a pair of trainers) it just sound like something is thumping as it goes round. Also (and this is the biggest problem) it becomes boiling hot after just a couple of minutes.

This repair does not solve the problem. The mods on this repair go----on and on. Merloni/Indesit company sold all these problems on to Whirlpool who have now inherited a major manufacturing problem they now would wish their own accountants looked into before the purchase. Its obvious Whirlpool had market greed in mind when they purchased INDESIT COMPANY. Well did any design engineers from Whirlpool look at the products from the company they have taken over?Did they not read the news? Whirlpool have no ears on the ground and have nobody looking at the competition. Lots of money to waste on people doing nothing. Big company with no IDEAS.
