Thank-you, & that's exactly what I did! It was not an easy walk in the park, by any means! I had them done nearly three months ago and still recovering. The little bit of fat that was put into my hips did not take because of my side-lying. So anyone wd be doing the right thing by waiting to get them done separately!

I suggest having a recliner for the TT recovery (borrow, buy, or rent). Also, practice how you will change positions, there are maneuvers that decrease the strain on the incision when getting up, etc. Incision area very sore and limits your movements for 7-10 days. You can and must get up and move. Do so, properly, without straining. The nurses hopefully will teach you these techniques. Doing both BBl and TT together, I think you would need help, it would be brutal. Only for the most motivated.

Thank you for the most plain-spoken and easy-to-follow explanation of the two procedures' deciding factors. My 360 is next Tuesday, and I am so excited! I am 45 and have four kids. I sent my pics to numerous doctors during the consulting phase, and only one recommended a mini tummy tuck w/360. All the rest said that the 360 would suffice, including the doctor who is doing my surgery.

A lot of people who do both together use pool floaty or invest in a bbl chair that has a hole where the butt goes honestly I’ve seen many creative ways the most logical one is where the thighs are supported while you sleep sitting up at an angle 📐

Diastasis recti (which is what you probably have) wont be fixed by working out, unfortunately. I’ve been told this by more than one Dr and a physical trainer. So, if you (and I) want to have our waistlines/ abdomens back to how they were before our kids, that can only happen with the plication that happens in a tummy tuck.

You didn’t mention lipo as well with the TT and BBL. are you also including lipo around the sides and back? This is why so many ppl look boxy with tummy tucks because they don’t do body contouring to match the tummy tuck.

This is very helpful and I appreciate the thorough explanation. I had a TT in July 2021 with no lipo, and there was some residual fat near the incision (post TT) necessitating revision. I wasn't given the option to have lipo with the TT with the PS I chose, though I would if I had a do-over. Because I carry body fat on my back, hips, and thighs, and have no butt, I opted to go for full 360 lipo with BBL in May 2022. I wondered about the order of the procedures so this clearly answered that question (good news). That said, now that I've done the TT, even though it would be much less expensive to do TT & BBL together, I would not recommend it. The recovery from the TT was the hardest I've encountered from any surgery. With a TT alone, don't underestimate the amount of support and help you'll need for the first 2-3 weeks.

TT recovery is very difficult. No question. Maybe the hardest. But if you have excess skin there is no substitute for having the skin removed with a tummy tuck. If you want a BBL then it is best to get rid of the skin first and a BBL second--just like you did.

They can be done together. There is a board certified surgeon in Beverly Hills named @DrWilliamRahal who does these combo procedures quite often. He is amazing, extremely transparent with patients, thorough, and believes in educating patients (just like Dr. Miami). Might be worth checking out.

No it's not. IT is a lot more to go through than a c-section and there is no baby at the end of the surgery so you don't have all of the chemicals your body releases during in childbirth to mask the pain.

If you have excess skin then the best option is a tummy tuck. The lipo just removes the fat and causes some skin contraction but it can not remove the skin.

I was at his office this weekend (11/12/2020), waited 3 hrs and after answering the exact same questions his coordinator had already asked me when booking the appointment, I was told by his M.A. that he cannot perform surgery on me because of a surgery I had as an infant which I respect. Yes of course. I personally do not operate on males but there are a lot of plastic surgeons who perform liposuction on males. Males tend to have more internal fat than females and their fat tend to be more fibrous and harder to remove so for those reasons I do not perform liposuction on males.
