I love this cheesy Tuna Noodle Casserole (even though Mimi does not lol). I can't wait for you to try it and tell me what you think! And it can be easily doubled to feed a large family or take to a potluck or get together! This could also be a one pot dinner if you just add everything to the pot and eat it from there. Less clean up that way!
Ingredients
1 cup egg noodles, cooked
1 can tuna, drained
1/2 can peas, drained
1 can cream of celery (or cream of mushroom)
1/2 cup milk
2 cups (or more) of shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/2 cup bread crumbs
Method
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Spray casserole dish and set aside
Cook your egg noodles to package directions, drain and combine all ingredients into the pot.
To your cooked noodles, add, one can tuna, half can drained peas, 1 can cream of celery (mushroom, if preferred), and 1/2 cup milk. Stir to break apart tuna chunks. Add in shredded cheese. Add Salt and Pepper to taste at this point. Stir until well combined.
Transfer to casserole dish and smooth to all sides.
In a small bowl, add bread crumbs to melted butter and stir until bread crumbs look sandy. Spoon to the top of the mixture in the casserole dish.
Bake for 15-20 mins at 350 degrees until bubbly and the crumbs are golden.
