i guaramty you none of these guys are rich!! dont forget to factor in repairs, dock space, processing, gas, insurance all the licenses, competion, etc etc . its just part of a respectable living if u do it right and you,re lucky. also dont forget to factor in seasons that suck too.. now go buy a boat and get rich!

I'm 70 now and haven't commercial fished since the 80s. Hard on the body but great on the soul and spirit. Nothing compares to working on the ocean nothing. Wish I could do it 1nmorentime before I pass. Just don't get on a boat that'll sink or get pitched overboard. That's true terror if you don't hang in there and win the struggle.

Tuna are mostly caught by the horrible pelagic longline gear here in Canada and only a few by rod and reel.

I sincerely hope you make an excellent living fishing because frankly you would starve to death is the videographer. It is beyond me how you could take such an exciting subject and turn it into such a go boring film. It would help a great deal if you would get somebody spend two or three minutes and teach you to focus your camera.
