Tracking test of using them in beat saber: kzbin.info/www/bejne/oJmbopxqh56Amas

I use the valve 2.0 basestations and have the same issues with my tundra kit. SteamVR never crashed like that, but everything else is a hit. The drifting drives me nuts, I shake my leg til it recovers.

Dude with 1st general release tundra’s here. I was surprised to hear that they removed items AND increased the price of it. All the cons you listed have also happened with my set up. I’m using a Quest 2 with tundra’s and 1.0 base stations.

I don’t know why, but I trust this reviewer much more than all the KZbinrs giving the tundra trackers raving reviews.

I'm using a Vive Pro 2 with the wireless adapter. I am in a smallish space (3m x 4m) with three base stations. I don't get the crashing issues you were experiencing. I did make sure I was using the Steam VR beta (not the release version). I also updated the tracker firmware on first use. With USB devices, there could be many reasons why you are getting that. I would highly suggest not using a hub inbetween your PC and your dongle - I use an extender cable to bring the dongle away from my PC. I was getting a lot of jitter and floating trackers when I use both my tundra trackers and the Vive 1.0 trackers at the same time. Too much radio interference I think. I bought another kit of four and will be positioning the dongles on opposite walls away from one another and the PC to see if I can get 10/11 point tracking working. Hopefully they all work when I get them.

Hm, I'm not sure what to tell you on your personal experience. It could have been a bad/faulty batch. I got the 7 tracker bundle(Kickstarter), and have not had much of an issue. Yes there is drift on some days, other days it tracks just fine without drift. I am using the trackers in combination with a Quest 2, so syncing the play spaces together, I imagine there will be some warping over time. I had one tracker become faulty and it was causing all the rest of the trackers to fall out of alignment, when I showed my troubleshooting and how I isolated the issue to one tracker, and not a dongle issue, they RMA'd it without hassle. So I'd say my customer service experience was decent! I'm sorry yours has not been that good.

I come to the conclusion that you shouldn't pair the last tracker to the super dongle. Either only 2 on the SW3 or 3 on the SW4 and just use an extra single dongle for the last tracker.
@linnvr9 ай бұрын
Yeah, I also came to that conclusion, its alot more stable

i sold my 3.0 vive and buy tundra, no issues❤ . 11 points is why i want tundra. less usb being used 😳

I have 4x Valve 2.0 Base Stations, have the Tundra's and Vive 3.0's and have come to the same conclusion. Customer service is extremely slow, the immediate response via email didn't take very long but it took a month for them to ship a new tracker to me. In my opinion, this is unacceptable. I received the replacement tracker with the same issues. At this point, I want a refund. I've talked with several other users in VRChat and they had similar issues with the Tundra's, so this is not an isolated event and would wager that their customer service is swamped with replacements for both the trackers and dongles. The Vive 3.0's are a solid product, the size and weight difference between the Tundra's and Vive's are negligible. I want Tundra to succeed as a company's like Vive in order to provide us, the consumer, with the best product they can for a competitive price. I cannot recommend the Tundra's to anyone and would tell anyone to steer clear since the price is on par with the Vive 3.0's. Excellent video and I hope this gets out to more viewers.

Damn I should've watched this before spending 500 dollars on 4 pack of them....I still haven't gotten them in the mail yet too and it's been 5 business days

I was thinking about getting them but now I’m unsure, I hope that of you do get yours they work and maybe you could share how your experience went
@Crecross Жыл бұрын
@@Vurple_Cat Mine are fine and I have none of the tracking issues addressed in this video. I have 8 of them for 11 point tracking. And some of these issues are not the trackers fault entirely..And more of the fault of a bunch of outside factors like interference, station position, play area conditions..Etc
@Star_Kay Жыл бұрын
So how are they working?
@asmephestoh Жыл бұрын
@@Star_Kay I have them and overall not bad but when issues do arise with drifting i had or limbs getting mismatch. i have no way to fix this so i just end the play sesh cause itll just piss me off.

I got one yesterday for Continuous calibration and it only gave me headaches (Vive 3.0 gave me NO issues, it's perfect, but heavier), I'm now figuring out if I just got bad luck and got a defective one or all Tundra trackers are the same. It has a small annoying drift.
@Vera-yh4le Жыл бұрын
my tundra hip tracker keeps losing tracking no matter what u try, and i dont have money to buy the vive trackers instead qwq this really sucks, ive wanted fbt for 3 years and when i finally get it it doesnt really work ;_;

I have the 2.0 base stations and have the same issues they really just seem like a product turned junk

Thanks for this video. I've been using my phones with SlimeVR and im looking to finally get proper trackers. I like the thought of the Vive trackers because they seem to be more stable. Do you also experience jitter from the Tundra trackers?
@linnvr2 жыл бұрын
When you get them working after a bit of troubleshooting, they don't have as much jitter, though aren't tracking correctly with both of my base stations. I'd recommend getting the vive trackers, as they are similarly priced, and are generally more reliable, though if you want lightweight trackers and don't mind a little drift the tundra trackers aren't too bad, but they are hard to get (sorry if the comment is too confusing. The Tundra trackers have a bit less jitter than the vive trackers, but i'd still reccomend getting the vive trackers, as they tend to be alot more reliable for around the same price)
@mayh3xx2 жыл бұрын
@@linnvr thanks so much. I actually went with the vive trackers from someone else's recommendation on your channel. thanks so much

Any luck on this? I've speculated that using more vr dongles might allow more capacity to process, but I'm at a loss. Trying to help a friend sort out these problems.

If you have a gaming pc that can run vr and base stations to track the trackers then yes, but if you dont have a gaming pc your out of luck
@linnvr2 жыл бұрын
Only with link/virtual desktop. Sadly they aren't standalone, and need base stations as well
