I flashed my map and the previous owner took it across America putting 35k miles. Living with the fuel cut off that whole time must have been crazy. My new map fixed that issue and smoothed out the rest of the throttle feel over all the gears and raised the rev limit and top speed limit. It's a whole new liter bike now.

you can save your default map before downloading the new one. Good video

Unfortunately not really for the initial map on my bike, I tried to save it but it's giving me errors.

If you are downloading an up to date oem map, why would the original map be inferior. Better to use a custom map you think?

When remapping or flashing any ecu you should always have a battery maintainer connected. If a battery falls below 11v there’s a danger of bricking ecu

Indeed!

Hi Li fan, you mentioned that you had to correct something in the wiring on your bike before you could do this, I am having trouble connecting the ecu to tuneecu, have followed all the advice on drivers etc and still no luck, did you follow any advice you could point me to when checking the wiring? Thanks, Ross

Legend: I think he means that you shouldn't have a battery charger connected to your battery while doing this.

At 8:58 of your video you state, make sure your battery is not connected, has me confused because you can't run tune ecu without power from the battery, "please explain this procedure of downloading a map while your battery is not connected? Thanks big guy and "Be Safe"

legend he meant connect the battery to a charger during the process or it will drain.

I’m looking to possibly do this to a 2000 RS. After the new mapping, did you notice any difference in the bike at other rpms, or any difference in fuel economy?
@TheGizmoGarage6 жыл бұрын
No difference in fuel economy, only improvement I've noticed is in the low rpm.

i installed a new map on my triumph sprint st 1050 and the petrol gage is not working only the red light comes on when it is empty.it works when i first turn the bike on when it does the test thing with the clocks have you got any ideas why it my be like this. will i need to reload the map and TPS sensers .thanks
@TheGizmoGarage3 жыл бұрын
The tune ecu doesn’t affect gas gauge, your sensor might be faulty not related to tuneecu

I'm new to this whole tuning thing I have a 2009 triumph Bonneville t120 I want too put slip ons and a high flow air cleaner on it. Does this tune ecu website have customs maps like that you can download
@TheGizmoGarage6 жыл бұрын
Blake Graham not sure you may have to go to their website and look at your particular bike to find out if they have an aftermarket exhaust tune for you.

Hey man,i have an RS 2000,just like yours and he needs an injection check i think.No one can tell me when it was that last tine.Since 2000.What do you think? And where do you get that map from?
@TheGizmoGarage4 жыл бұрын
I honestly don't know the answer, if you think the engine is miss firing due to injector problem, best take to a experienced mechanic to have checked out, or you can simply tell because the engine would not sound normal
@MrLeonard7504 жыл бұрын
@@TheGizmoGarage yes the engine is miss firing when i rev it,at idle.Is that a problem of fuel injection?
@TheGizmoGarage4 жыл бұрын
@@MrLeonard750 it's possible fuel injectors are bad, or could be compression problem in cylinders... But do check spark plugs first, when they go bad engine misfires and it would be the first thing to check and it's not hard to do on this bike
@MrLeonard7504 жыл бұрын
@@TheGizmoGarage Right,i know,plugs.But i do have same jerky place betwen 1000 and 3000 rpm like you.I lost the engine few times when takeoff.

@roythearcher6 жыл бұрын
adaptive reset is not an option on this model, or on my Sprint ST (Same ECU)
@roythearcher7 жыл бұрын
This is not a very good explanation of how to do this. On your screen you flash through what you need to do very quickly without actually showing it or explaining what it is you're doing so that the viewer has no idea what to do. You need to slow down and explain, at every step, what you are doing and show those steps on your computer screen so that the viewer knows, and can understand what you're trying to show them!
@toml48887 жыл бұрын
Good video, but a very important process was forgotten. If another map has been flashed, a TPS reset is required.
@genecitarella35165 жыл бұрын
@Ashley Haadt I hear you" I asked him about the same thing when he states make sure your battery is disconnected, if that was the case, you wouldn't be able to run the tune ecu; maybe he was referring to not to have the bike running; "Just not sure!
@Sherry-jx9hs3 жыл бұрын
@@genecitarella3516 The bike was NOT running and the battery WAS NOT disconnected. He took fuses out to keep the drain minimal on the battery. That is what I got from the video. He didn't mention a reset after the tune which I think is needed as well
