Jesus Christ Superstar Live in Concert is an American musical television special that was broadcast live on NBC. The cast includes John Legend, Sara Bareilles, Brandon Victor Dixon and Alice Cooper. The musical, written by Andrew Lloyd Webber, is almost entirely sung-through, with minimal spoken dialogue. The plot is loosely based on the Canonical Gospels' accounts of the last week of the life of Jesus Christ, beginning with the preparation for the arrival of Jesus and his disciples in Jerusalem and ending with the crucifixion.

That sort of misses the point of the musical--Jesus was also just a man, like you and me, and that's far more powerful to the Ressurection story than him being king or lord. He literally has a line in the musical turning away from this, and the whole point of multiple songs is warning against that kind of thinking.

@@BuzzardPlanet97 I’m not deaf, so watch with subtitles, but when it first came out I was able to hear the awful auto tuning. Why they did it, never know- it wasn’t needed. Now when I watch it, they’re all singing without it in my head
