Solid video. I've been deciding between the Polytune 3, the Kliq Tinytune, & the Boss TU-3. Thank you for helping me decide on the Polytune 3. Being able to tune my basses quickly and accurately was my main concern, and you put that to rest....I love that your pastor called you out for tuning in church. That really made me laugh. Rock on!

Thanks for the video. My guitar multi effects has a great tuner built in but I only have a Snark for my 5 string bass. I have found the clip on tuners aren't accurate enough on guitars, and too slow on the B string. It's super annoying to listen to guitar players tune by ear. As soon as they're done, they play a chord and discover they're off anyway. The guitar isn't going out of tune, it was never in tune.

@creepymccreepers3 жыл бұрын
I got two. If you have a pedal with two outputs you can put one in there and have one at the front to bypass and then leave one always on so you can always see what it’s tuned in on always. But yea the tuner poly tune rules but the Peterson one is better
@007Elvisofnazareth5 жыл бұрын
You can change that gasket (a. k. a. grommet) on the boss tu-3. Or just trim off the part that's catching with a x-acto, or not even use the grommet all. Ebay search Boss Grommet.
@realbeal5 жыл бұрын
I didn’t know that. Have you done it before?
@007Elvisofnazareth5 жыл бұрын
@@realbeal Yes I have. I've done all three of those methods. With no grommet it just kinda makes a little click click.. lol. The only time the grommet effects the performance of the pedal is when it gets ragged (like yours) . You can also try trimming up the ragged piece of grommet with small sharp scissors or nail clippers if theres enough still there to work with.

Hi, I was wondering if you get a clear readout of the exact amount of "cents" flat or sharp? That is useful for rhodes pianos and sweetened guitar tunings. Id really like to be able to see - 3, - 5, or - 7 for instance or +2 , +4, +6 etc.
@realbeal5 жыл бұрын
I don’t see that. How would I check?
@zepp3lin5 жыл бұрын
I know you ask this question in the TC youtube channel and they did say you can. The line LED indicator, sharp or flat it represents your cents.
@007Elvisofnazareth5 жыл бұрын
@@zepp3lin Thank you for your reply. T. C. did not follow up when I then asked how. There is no mention nor indication in the owners manual (which I downloaded) that it accurately displays cent offsets, only whether it is indeed sharp or flat. Do you own this tuner? Do you personally use cent offsets? The Line indicater as far as I can see only indicates simply that you are sharp or flat. Not give a you an accurate read out of exactly HOW sharp or flat displayed in such a way that would be useful for actually using the information to tune with stretched tunings.
@zepp3lin5 жыл бұрын
@@007Elvisofnazareth every line represents a cent just like any other tuners. Depend on the accuracy of the tuner it can be 0.02, 0.05 or 1 cent. So for the Polytune3 the accuracy is +/- 0.02 cents for every line.
@007Elvisofnazareth5 жыл бұрын

@scottvalk5 жыл бұрын
No, however I have found that it can reduce or eliminate other types of noise like RF (radio stations) if you are using other pedals like drives that pickup radio stations which could involve other factors (bad cables, amps acting like anteneas, guitar pickups, weird power/grounding... etc etc...)
