Thank you for sharing. I love the world of pcp air rifles and the community behind them. People like you make it a hobby worth investing in. I am trying to come up with a way to free float the hammer on my new beeman chief 2 plus (3000psi version). It's a tack drive I get almost all of my shots touching eachother at 25 yards but like you, I want to make it more efficient. If anyone knows a spring I can use that's shorter or a way I can keep my current power level and eliminate hammer bounce I would greatly appreciate the help.

In germany we can have only 7.5 jouls energy on free guns. I just set up my diana bandit. My measurments shows cylinder capacity of 30cc without reg and 22,5cc with huma reg and short 21mm plenum installed. I now get 45 shots or 5 magazines with consistent 175-177m/s for 7,5jouls with light jsb exact rs pellet in .177 and regulator set to 70bar.

I found the video very informative being fairly still new to airguns I now know how the hammer spring system works thank you for sharing

Not boring at all. And your theory is very sound. My Ataman has a built-in adjustment that allows me to adjust the tension on the valve spring. Can't wait to see the performance review.

Thanks mitch. I know not everyone is into this kind of stuff. But I how it helps a few people who are still learning about pcp airguns.

Beside stiffer spring or more preload to close the valve faster you can put some kind of washer on a valve stem spring seat in front of valve spring it gives preload and some kind of parashute effect to the valve so the air and pressure itself can close the valve faster.

@@abzyberdy that's a good idea honestly. There's a few ways to help your airgun be more efficient.

Look into the JSAR balance valve. Where he made a valve for the Maurader where it would hit lighter and get more power and be efficient all in one. Travis is the gentleman that developed it. I believe.

I seen the design and seen how it works. The only thing is it's difficult to make one. Without owning a mill and lathe. I do own 3 different power house valve or balance valves. They work great for power. But right now I am having a hard time getting the valve for the marauder to work will. Hopefully with the changes I don't to the hammer system the valve will close faster.

I too enjoy modifying my Krals, their great project guns as parts are cheap and their so easy to work on. Id fit a stiffer valve spring as I can see the stem bending setup like that, here in the UK we have a 12ftlb limit so we tune for shotcount to as our guns are crudely chocked versions of yours, so ours suffer horrendous hammerbounce and waste most of the air charge, our .177 puncher gets around 60 useable shots, set up better we can see 100 and with a regulator 200 is possible

Very similar to my goals. How many cc's in the reservoir?
@airgunsofidaho4886 Жыл бұрын
I am not sure of the reservoir size. The reservoir is for a .25cal
