I’m also in Colorado and I own the S6 with the Unitronics Stage 2+ and DSG tune. I have to do more research on the Dyno Spectrum tune. I like the E-85 option

You should RUN, not walk to get the DS1. Just so much more for the money. I'm running Integrated Engineering stg2, but it will NOT support my TTE turbos(wasted $800), but for now it does made my S6 a Hell Cat Killer

@@bbigrocker1 It would be interesting to see if I could keep my DSG stage 2 tune and use the DS1 tune also. I’ll reach out to Dyno Spectrum.

Go with Dyno Spectrum... APR seemingly ceased all map development on the 4.0T in 2019, no longer offers Stage 2 for OEM turbos, their Stage 3 RS mapping is pretty conservative on pump fuel, and they offer no Stage 3+ solution for +4mm RS turbos or GTX hybrids. I've been running APR Stage 2 + TCU tune on an S7 at 5000ft+ altitude, quite similar to Colorado... Having upgraded to +4mm RS turbos, I contacted the local APR dealer in August last year about going Stage 3, and got quoted a cool $1100... 😂 Taking into account the wider range of mod-specific canned tunes available on the DS1, as well as the flexibility for custom tuning, it's a no-brainer if you plan to mod the car further in future.

Truthfully Dyno spectrum has shown out of the three the most flexible tune that you can get, so I hundred percent agree with you!

Go with Dyno Spectrum. I have Unitronic ECU Stage 1+ with a TCU stage 1 and love it and will be going stage 2 ECU and TCU this summer with Unitronic only because it makes more financial sense since I’ve already bought into the Unitronic program and I already own the HPA downpipes. However, if I could go back and start all over I would go Dyno Spectrum just because once you spend that $1300 that’s pretty much it and it offers so much more custom tunability like you said. There wasn’t a lot of info or videos on Dyno spectrum back when I went Unitronic so that’s the main reason I didn’t go that route but like I said I’m very happy with Unitronic I just think Dyno Spectrum is the way to go these days especially since I will have spent over $2k just for off the shelf tunes from Unitronic by the time I’m stage 2.

Hi! I am very interested in the Dyno Spectrum for the RS3 DAZA becasue of the Mapswitch to Ethanol. When switching is only possible with E85 or also with fuel mix (98ron and E40-50-60). It looks like little the same like MHD for the BMW´s
@cdcoulson2 жыл бұрын
DS1 is true flex fuel.. meaning, if you plumb/wire in an ethanol content sensor, DS1 will read its signal and dynamically adjust fueling to accommodate whatever mixture you're running.

I thought that with the ARP mobile app and dongle you are able to switch between your tunes.

@Daily52802 жыл бұрын
I actually tried out the IE tune. It was an aggressive tune. Impressive power gains, but for what I wanted for my car.. the ability add other performance parts and have a tuner that will allow me to progress to other stages, the IE fell short. Also with that tune it will quickly Fatigue stock parts,and would not allow you to add up graded parts.

How do you think IE compares with the rest?
@Daily52802 жыл бұрын
Honestly I would say that IE is a tad more of an aggressive tune compared to the Apr and the Unitronic, but when compared with the DS1 it’s Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, with IE being Hyde. The DS one will give you a nice horsepower bump overstock on stage one, coming in around 540 crank horsepower. Whereas the IE tune will give you 625 crank horsepower on stage one but that’s also including the full ethanol tune
@Daily52802 жыл бұрын
The DS1 tune comes in very conservative but will allow for more of an aggressive tune with add-ons or supporting mods to allow you to fully dial in the tune. Whereas integrated engineering for all intents and purposes is a box tune that only allows the ability to toggle in between 91 and ethanol
@thunderch1ck3en2 жыл бұрын
@@Daily5280 I've got IE's stage one on my S6, and even just with 91, I noticed a good bump in power. I plan on going E85 in the next few months. I'm good with their tune, but it looks like if I ever start getting deep in the motor, I'll have to be going DS1. Thanks man.

@@pauljohnson4339 Paul I finally did go with a TCU tune through Integrated engineering, and it makes a world of difference. Quicker shifts, more torque lower in the rpm band! Down shifts keeps the shifts well within your power ban for better Acceleration! And over all it’s to keep our motor from over powering and killing the transmission!
