Won't this Tune void the warranty since Audi can see it's been flashed even if you return it to stock??
@unitronic4 жыл бұрын
@@ChrisLasVegas777 We can't guarantee that our software are undetectable as the OEM can always update its detection methods. However, our Clients have shown amazing results when flashing back to stock before bringing the car in for servicing. Either via ou UniCONNECT+ cable or by visiting an Authorized Dealer. It's important to properly understanding the potential impact on your warranty before modifying your vehicle. There is indeed a risk of voiding certain portion of your warranty when upgrading your ECU software.

I have had an AWE sport touring exhaust (cat back) and AWS carbon Cold Air Intake on my 2016 S6 for about 3 years now and highly recommend it. I just got the APR 93 octane tune done today as its on sale all month (August) and what a huge difference! I held off with the tune so as not to void the factory warranty but man am I glad I got the tune since its tons more power (about (+85HP/+189torque per APR, plus whatever the CAI and exhaust add). Anyway check out the AWE if you want exhaust next.

Congrats, good video. I think you've demonstrated that the unitronic works, and works well. I would like to see you with a DS1, which you can also flash from home, up to stage 4 with E85 and comfortably north of 750hp (with bolt-ons). I'd love to see your old man try to smile through a 800hp launch, as for your sister......Your father would be fine, I'm sure, just maybe not the first run. Your sister would probably never get in the car again. It would make for some good footage, if you're ok with not pc. 3.56 is a good stage 1 time, and the launch control on a modified S6 can be pretty brutal, can't it. Your dad chose well. cool guy. Of course you can't carry on like this without a TCU tune, there's a couple of good ones, and some bad ones.

How has this car been since all these upgrades and tunes ? Reliability? Gas mileage?... any extra wear and tear because of the tune ?

Hey there James. So far, he hasn’t driven enough for a good reliability examination. But no issues yet. Gas mileage has increased pretty slightly, when highway cruising at a consistent speed.

I don’t think it will create any issues, but I’d recommend getting the TCU tune alongside the ECU tune. It will help manage the extra power, and hopefully extend the life of the transmission. Thanks!

@@NotSoHandyCarGuy hi friend. In the video I heard something about being able to revert it back to stock if there is a warranty issue. @NotSoHandyCarGuy2 жыл бұрын
So from what I understand, the S6’s are pretty reliable. They have the infamous long-term carbon buildup issues and it’s very important to change the oil more often than the service intervals say, because the turbos’ oil screens can become clogged leading to turbo failure. I’ve heard that the 7-Spd DSG’s can eventually become problematic, but I’m not entirely sure why. And as far as the air suspension goes, i’m sure it would have issues in the long run. But if that were to ever happen, I would just replace them with better coil overs

I have the 2018 S6 (in the same blue) had it 2½ years now (since new) - awesome / beautiful car that is almost too cheap (with quite a few niggles too!) - I also have an S5 Cabriolet tuned to 500bhp - which I will never sell. The S6 (whilst fabulous) hasn't quite won my heart however, and I intend to move it on this December - part of me thinks it's the last of a breed 🦁 - part of me thinks it could be a dinosaur and has to go 😢 Exhaust sounds incredible - what is it? (Stock is way too subdued)
@NotSoHandyCarGuy4 жыл бұрын
Wow! That’s cool to hear; I have never seen another S6 with this color combo, what’s the interior color? That S5 must be an absolute blast. And I think only time will tell whether or not it’s a good idea to let it go. It’s both a dinosaur and the last of a breed. As far as the exhaust, this is completely stock. My microphone is just highly compressed, so it makes all of the quiet things sound louder. Trying to convince my pa to get an AWE Touring exhaust, because you’re right the stock exhaust is far too muffled. Thanks for the comment!

I’d tell you to be weary if it were older, but the C7.5 S6’s are still pretty new. I wouldn’t worry too much about the reliability until things start getting brittle and seals start cracking. Just do your research and you’ll be fine. The turbo failures that you hear about are from dirty oil clogging up the oil screens. Just stay on top of maintenance

Doesn’t matter if you put the stock tune back on. Audi has a record of how many times the ECU has been flashed with updates and what not, so they’ll know if you flashed it and will probably flag your VIN which means bye bye power train warranty.
@NotSoHandyCarGuy4 жыл бұрын
SeanScatpack Fallon we were talking to one of the tech guys at the Audi dealer, and he said it was safe to do, and that Audi can’t tell how many times an ECU has been flashed. So I’m not sure what’s true and what isn’t🤷🏼♂️
@RS7evenSLDR4 жыл бұрын
Not-So-Handy Car Guy well I have a 2016 A7 TDI and I am wanting to tune it and all the forums say the tune is definitely worth it but if you aren’t willing to void warranty don’t do it because the dealers have a record of your ECU (if it’s an Audi) and how many times it’s been flashed by an authorized dealership based off VIN to see if you have done additional flashes. If the number doesn’t add up from the last time a dealership has flashed the ECU they know it’s been flashed and they void the warranty. I would get that tech guy to put it on paper and have the general manager sign it. 🤷🏾♂️ But y’all might have that I don’t care money! 😂😂
@Gregoryg1844 жыл бұрын
@@RS7evenSLDR As you know, there's a slight problem there. Odds on the general manager will blow that deal right out of the water. He's got a better chance if he just deals with the ignorant tech guy. I'm sure there's ok general managers, but you'd have to be lucky, eh. Of course if he doesn't tell the tech guy there's a risk they'll flash it back to stock, but that won't be as expensive as with the you-know-who tunes, he can just flash it back again himself.
