Okay, I like the channel and Shmee, but you could not see how the "video" call was overlaid? I actually enjoyed the process at GAD. Thought Anthony was great, informative and honest. I loved the way he talked about the delta on the dynosheet. Its not about the numbers. But how it evolves. You can have a peak power off 1000 hp. But if the rest only makes 300. You are not faster than a car that consistently make 500 HP over the full range ;P

No thats one thing you always monitor and should have gone into thats monitoring AFR which is always in check. Moderns ECUS will have target AFRs so the management will always make changes to keep it at the correct enrichment

I could be wrong but I recall the BS, like the other facelifted M156 C63, use a clutch pack instead of torque converter thanks to that MCT transmission which was a major upgrade.

It's unfortunately more like the 7g+ gearbox found in the diesels which is why the Mercedes have never been as snappy as BMW with DCT

It isn't "just" white either, it has some amazing texture and depth in different lighting. I'd even go so far as to paint the calipers black, and source some black/grey rear lights to have the car completely black-and-white.

Why is it almost all of the dynos in UK (with the exception of esmotor UK) seem to read crank horsepower not wheel horsepower? I mean how can you accurately measure hp at the crank through the wheels?

Its the style of Dyno, To be fair all load based Dynos read torque at the wheels and then based on a shoot or lock mode calculates crank, As an example we have had W205 C63s and now have an AMG GTS with the M177 and M178 engine both booked at 503bhp from factory and both made 503bhp on our Dyno, compare this to a Dynojet that will read nearly that at wheels then i would much prefer a Dyno that's bang on then something you have to make up an arbitrary drive train loss and then come to whatever power you want! Another example we had a client test his C63s on a Dynojet and they calculated it was 580bhp at the crank the client brought down to us and it made 503bhp.... But like mentioned in the video we are more interested within reason the delta or the gain.. Many thanks

Indeed 100% correct buddy! If some proper tubular manifolds got installed and did away with the stupid log manifolds from factory this engine has another 20-30bhp in there before serious mods
