Okay, that was the first stitch that felt "right" to me. I just received your Tunisian Crochet book from Amazon and your videos have cleared up a lot of the problems I was having. Thanks!!!

I like this stitch a lot too, I discovered it 'by accident' ;-) I like this one a lot when it is done with two colors (changing at the left side gives a very different result than changing at the right side, and working in the round with two colors it very nice too, it give more a woven effect.

Kim, TY. I have so many of your books and still haven't made anything - although I practice and even do my own stitches. One of them I can't reproduce but want to 'cause it would be perfect for Swedish Weaving after the item is finished. A couple of years ago I sent you a copy of what I did to get that stitch - but never heard back from you.

I like to work in just the top bar, and it makes a really lacy fabric. Is that an actual stitch with a name?

It's certainly possible. It is more likely that the project was severely blocked. Years' ago, that was the "norm" for Tunisian crochet. Stitches were worked very tightly so that they would form a nice grid for cross-stitch. Then, the project was blocked to remove the curling.

My sister-in-law has a baby blanket that someone made for her, years ago. It's obviously Tunisian Crochet, and it has counted cross-stitch on top. What puzzles me is that it's very flat - there's absolutely NO curling at all. Now I've been doing Tunisian Crochet for years - I've never seen NO curling. I'm wondering if it could have been made with this stitch. It looks like simple stitch, there's just no curling. Any ideas? I'd love to do the same thing, if I can figure out how it was made.

OOOOOHHH! A new way to work increases - only pull thru the first loop. Gotta try it. Where's my hook?

Unfortunately, I found that this stitch curls as badly as others.
