Wow, your tutorials are always so good! Very easy to understand! I came over because I commented on IG that I couldn't wait to make the new blanket sweater pattern you were wearing. When I saw that it was tunisian I was a bit disappointed because I simply haven't tried tunisian yet. This tutorial makes me want to try it! I've been crocheting for years and I'll go back and watch the beginner tunisian video first, but you've made this tutorial very clear. Thank you so much for sharing such great patterns and videos! I'm going to buy those exact hooks too. :-)

Wow, thank you so much for your kind words! If you know how to crochet, Tunisian will be a breeze to learn! The sweater is made with this Stitch and the collar is just double crochet stitches! Easy Peasy! Good luck!

Cords; that's new to me. I just barely have heard of these short interchangable hooks. Interesting.

Thank you for sharing this pattern. A well presented video. I have tried Tunisian a number of times but this seems so much nicer than some things I have tried. Can I ask what the yarn is you used on the blanket version you showed at the start of the video? It is so pretty. I love varigated/colour changing yarn and haven't seen anything this nice. Being in Australia generally means we need to buy online so would love to know what this is to see if it would be worth buying some in. Costs can be quite high but worth looking for a dreamy blanket like this. Subscribed so I wont miss anything else you do. :-)

@@cathjeffthird5695 I am in the United States. I have an odd question: are there any goats or llamas in Australia? If there are I would think someone could make his/her own yarn and save a lot of money. I could be wrong. If so, I'm sorry.

I guess the wool that you use makes a big difference in the desired end effect you want. The wool I’m using doesn’t look so clearly like a rib as your wool does. Any thoughts?

Hi! I'm sorry it didn't work out so well. A few things to keep in mind is that you need to use a larger Tunisian hook than the yarn recommends (1-2 sizes larger). In this video, I used acrylic yarn. I don't feel like this stitch is much of a "rib" but rather lacy. Hope that helps!

What yarn did you use for the blanket sweater ? I haven’t been able to find it on the information. I love the colors and would like to make one these same colors. 😊

In case anyone is wondering about a similar yarn that hasn't been discontinued yet, there are Premier Yarns Puzzle options that have extremely similar colorways to the original blanket sweater yarn.

I have a question is it better to use a bigger crochet Tunisian hook for the pattern coz I tried with a 5.5 mm needle the holes don’t show like urs?
@StarhawkRanger
@StarhawkRanger 6 жыл бұрын
Aren't those needles a bit short for tunisian?
@DesignsbyPhanessa
@DesignsbyPhanessa 6 жыл бұрын
No, they connect to cords similar to circular knitting needles or fixed tunisian hooks with cords.

Designs by Phanessa could you upload a video showing how to work with those cables? I find it very hard to slide my project over the cable to finish the rows.
