Hey Archana watching your recipes is a treat in itself !!! But I do have suggestion for this recipe though! Hope you find it interesting to cook my way ! I am a hard core foodie ! But at the same time I do give a lot of emphasis to preserving on teh nutritional aspect of any delicacy other than the deep fried stuff ! How I cook - I soak the moong daal in a hot water , allow it to get tender ( may take about an hour or so ) try split the daal with your nail ,or knife or spoon ,once breaks easily but still a little hard ,it's ready to get seasoned ! Then make the tadka ready as you showed using whatever condiments , add the tomatoes, daal , ridge gourd and toss all teh masalas as per taste ! Just one whistle and your Ridge gourd with moig daal is ready ,if need be you can allow it to simmer for a while ! If the daal par cooked but still firm makes it just perfect to relish it with Roti, bhakhri , paratha, bajra rotla like a gravy sabji consistency or even dry ,all taste yum ! However you can make it a little watery if you wanna have it with rice !!! that crunch of both the daal and turi is just lip smacking !!! You do give it a try 😁 I will wait to hear from you about how did it go !!! ❤️😁haha but you can tag me here on this channel if not any other 👍👍❤️😁

This looks yummy and will be giving it a try. Question, I live in the UK and not sure if I can find Ridge guard here. Can I leave it out? Thank you

Looks like great recipe! If I like (separate -chutti daal consistency), could that daal be done in microwave and then added to slightly watery turiya subji?

Hi Archana... Great recipie. I can't wait to try it. Just wanted to give a small feedback on the water you used from copper bottle, because later you even added lime in the subzi. Lime and copper are opposite and cause negative reactions in body. Do read about the items that shouldn't be used in copper water, like tamrind lime etc especially in food recipies. I am not an expert or anything but this small thing can cause significant damage going ahead I felt. Anyways, GREAAAAT cooking!!
