Really that's not good! I'm looking at getting a 806 now! I haven't decided it needs some transmission work!

Beautiful 806. Sounds and looks awesome. My Grandfather farmed with a IH 560 in the late 1960’s and early 70’s. Great memories. Thanks for that.

thank Wes I am new to your channel but so nice to see you have your Dad in the videos. Back in the late 40's I was 9 or 10 and i drove a small 4 cylinder Case on a side rake and then when I go a bit older I used to operate a Farmall M as well, OH the memories. Now going to be 80 this year you never forget your first times on the farm as I can bet you do too. I enjoy how you do your videos.

Cool old tractor. Watching your dad on the tractor out in the elements you really see how far tractor cabs have made your life easier. Although a nice sunny day in fresh air not bad either. Also you can’t beat the sound of those old tractors! Good video

I grew up in central LA in a farming community. We had a JD 2840 and a Ford 3000. After some time, we eventually got a MF 1155. An old man down the road had a super C, a super H and a super M. There was a Ford 6600 and 8N. Some of the bigger farmers ran some large Deere's especially the 4630s and 8000 series 4wds. It is always good to see some of the older tractors. Keep up the good work.

I'm not a motor head so most of what you said sailed right over my head. It was interesting to see a sickle bar conditioner (slow}. It sounds like you have a flock starling that have taken up residence in the mower. Tractor was a brute and seemed like overkill for the mower. But I'm not a farmer and just pulled that one out of my butt. I really enjoyed the change of pace. Thanks Wes!

I’m assuming you meant first IH/Farmall to have a turbo was the 1206, I think Allis Chalmers D19 May be the first turbo tractor..... might be something earlier?. Either way, cool tractors and good explanation of what you’re doing.

I enjoyed the video. Big fan of the 806. I was a fool to pass up a beauty with a nice cab recently for $7500. I just didn't want to let that money go and now I regret it all the time. Looking for a 4166 though that's a reasonable distance to upstate NY

A hay conditioner was not designed to squeeze the water out of the hay, but breaks the stem so the water can evaporate faster. Those rollers should be adjusted to the age and type of crop because you don't want to squeeze the water out since you will be loosing proteins and minerals that are so important in a hay quality. A flail conditioner will scratch the stem of the grass to allow water evaporation. A flail conditioner is better suited for grass while a roller conditioner is better in legume hay like alfalfa or clover. All types of conditioner should be monitored in each field in order to have maximum quality hay. Just a little info from a ag mechanic. Have a great day
@WesFarms

Thanks for the info. We’re not big into hay so this works for our operation.

We bake with a 560 and loader with a turbo! We have a sickle mower with a Holstein farm! If he is selling the 560 does he have any info in it? The skinny windows o like the best with our old square baler. Some of them just spread the windrows out, but it is usually round baling so it makes sense.
