LT, I think you just inspired me to follow in your path. I've got a big block C10 i've been building for a couple years now and it's a lowered long bed single cab. I plan to run it NA till I get bored and then add boost. I think i''ll set it up for more than just drags after seeing how much fun this was. Thanks! You need All Wheel Drive to get that power down and you can use the trans to downshift for better braking. Great Job for 1st time out! You can see the height on your rear suspension is definitely causing a whipping action.

I've run autocross with the scca way in the past . Yeah it's fun , seeing your truck makes me wonder how my 2001 2500 suburban 4x4 with the 8.1 motor do lol. Just dreaming ,,, having fun when you start is the goal. And you did !

yeah, understeer is the understatement of the century for this one, its almost like you had to turn the steering wheel 25 feet before you actually want the truck to start turning

I kinda' kept hoping you'd counter understeer with some good ol' throttle oversteer, but that's just my inner Beavis coming out. You should do a video where you do the "ultimate OEM brake upgrade" for a truck where you put 2019 4 piston calipers, 2 piston calipers in the back and Hydroboost. That will get you a bunch of views and could be used as the Go to source of how to do something like that.

Kinda wondering if the hot lapping is helping keep heat in the exhaust housing. I know consecutive laps the brain reacts better too, but wondering if you should wrap the hotside to help some.

Hey @Lawrence LT Tolman. I think be better keep the 4.30 gears. or 4.10's. Main thing much wider tires. 3.42 i think be slower on that track. Just my opinion lol. 3.42 be good on a faster track for sure. Just going by the results. Doesn't take much to improve my guess lol.

You should have gotten some better tires at least. No need for pure autocross ones, but a straight summer performance tire would have made a HUGE difference in the handling.
