Turbo Brz (93 octane) vs Supercharged Si (100 octane)

Truth is. Import guys didn't care if cars was Fwd or Rwd until drifting hit the scene. If your not into drifting or doing donuts. It don't matter. I own a nitrous Camaro and a turbo dc2 integra. Both are fun to drive🏁

Duwop77 nah. Rwd has a lot more benefits besides drifting in terms of vehicle dynamics. One, a rwd vehicle has better weight distribution. Fwd cars tend to be nose heavy and plow through with understeer when you drive at the limit. Also, fwd cars tend to have diluted steering feedback and torque steer. Also, another large benefit of the BRZ is not only is the weight distribution close to 50/50 but it's center of gravity is lower than some mid engine Ferraris. There is absolutely no doubt that in terms of of handling, the BRZ is signficantly better than a civic si.

kanival42 don't own one. Just want to point or that in terms of fun if you care more about traffic light drags and high way pulls, rwd along with weight distribution matter. The BRZ dynoed 294 @7 psi. No idea what its pushing on 9 psi tho. We are good friends and this was not even a week after the turbo install and he was still getting used to the car.

It takes nearly 12PSI to get 300RWHP out of a BRZ, 6-7PSI is 250RWHP. Never seen a BRZ at 6-7PSI ever run 300RWHP. Never and not once.

So this brz was fresh off a mustang dyno with 294 to the rear wheels. Somewhere in the range of 7-9psi. I've seen the dyno sheet and can most likely get my hands on it again if anyone would like to see it. Though I really don't want to waste my time with that because people have this dumb belief that an exact psi = a certain hp number. Not taking into account what type of boost/ the size of turbo or supercharger/ the efficiency of said turbo or supercharger/ engine work/ supporting mods/ conditions blah blah blah....

I drive a '14 Si. But stock for stock I think I like the FRS/BRZ more. Looks is a BIG REASON. But that RWD is more fun. So both these cars were supercharged? The Si walked the Brz both times....

Idk what my power number is on the Si. 270-300whp if i had to guess. The 100 octane map is probably 15hp more than 93 its nothing crazy. Just a little more advanced timing.

Last time I checked and ever a sti and a overpriced st are all 4 bangers and we'll so your argument is invalid. Painted Pony Films last time i checked, every car had a battery in it 😂😂. Teslas are literally the only company developing battery/electric cars, and they are no where near affordable. Until they create a battery car as cheap as a corolla, petrol and diesel cars will still be the norm. Try another 20-30 years.

The civic is supercharged. At the time the pulley selection was making 9-10psi. No "turning boost up" without changing the pulleys

Si's have a better engine and less drive train loss, stock for stock it should be the faster car as it weights around the same as a brz as well. Si stock 200 bhp at 190 whp 190tq Brz stock 200bhp at 170 whp 150 tq Both weigh around 2800+ lbs Numbers alone state the si is faster.

This civic is supercharged + full supporting mods + protune by Jeff Evans on 100octane.... It was most likely making more power than the brz during that race.

it hung in there fine lol, plus the 8th gen was on 100octane, fuel is a big thing. My old bolt on 8th gen couldn't keep up with some 86's. They're fast with the right mods
