I'm glad to see you reusing everything you can, I replaced everything "while I was in there" and spent way more than I ever expected. I also painted my subframe red because racecar. Great video! Interesting point on the strength on the 4 vs 6 bolt diff flange. I just bought and installed the SLG single piece driveshaft and it supports my 4 bolt flange on the touring. So fingers crossed it holds! I’m sure it’ll be totally fine

Mind that my chasis was cracked in one of the points before welding the plates.

need to do this job on my 01 330ci. butttt.... (its winter again the 3rd year LOL) i also have an 00? 328 which some idiot did (just) one subframe plate which it looks like that left hand side ripped out so they just yolo'd the single plate. cant say ill be doing this job soon. but then again, it doesnt look to bad doing it all together.... im just not a welder period...

Bolts on the diff 4 instead of 6. Not that big of a difference they dont hold any shear force on them. Since the torque is transfered through the flat metal surfaces under friction. Bolts only create pressure and create friction between two surfaces

Did you experience any Diff noise with that solid rear mount ? My mount broke exactly the same as yours did and I've been holding off installing the solid mount since im concerned about NVH. My car is a street car and was thinking about modifying the solid mount to add some insulators or bushings between the mating surfaces to keep the noise down . Let me know thanks.

You could probably do it in a weekend depending on how much other stuff you do to the subframe itself. Its taken me a week to do all this because I only have 3 hours a day really to work on it and im doing a lot of modifications

Well these are stock auto 330 axles. We will see if they last. Make ur you are replacing your with oem axles. The parts store ones wont last one launch.
