NIce job! its funny how us car guys like to change our cars. You just swapped to a 5 speed and I just swapped to a 4R70W from a 5-speed with a stall convertor. I also documented the whole thing on my channel.

Yeah, I can never leave it alone lol. And that’s absolutely awesome! If I wanted to keep it a track only car I would have kept the auto, but once it went and I had nothing but trouble… it had to go, for me anyway!! I hope your swap is treating you well!!

@@forcefedhatch oh it’s great!…I don’t think I’d go back….lol. The 3200 stall convertor allows me to get in to boost much sooner. It’s like a completely different car.

What will happen if I swap to a 5 speed trans without SCT tuning ?

You may run into issues with hanging idle, but mostly you will see the speedometer being off( the speed will be doubled on the gauge cluster) and the O/D light will be flashing constantly. If you can look past all of that then not much other than the car may have to try and adjust. Autos have torque limiters as well for shift points that the ECU will be hunting for.

Your hanging Idle when pressing on the clutch could do that be an Intake Manifold leak ?

It could have been, but since I was using the auto ECU they have dash or settings that need adjusting

In doing your swap did you use your auto engine harness?

I used the manual transmission harness, that plugged into the body harness.. you can use the automatic I’ve heard, but I didn’t want to cut and pin any wiring,
