You can build a RWD just fine, actually is easier. If you plan on offroading then go 4X4 but if it's a street truck RWD all the way

I've been in the opposite boat. I found a 4wd but I want to make it a street beast so I'm planning to convert it to 2wd. Trust me that is the way to go!! Unless you feel like spending thousands on all the driveline parts that are involved with a 4wd. 2wd is so much simplier

I absolutely love it. I have a 1996 4 door tahoe and im not sure where to start, im still learning alot about cars. I want to increase the horsepower but dont have alot of money to spend yet. Could you tell me what would be the best thing to get for the time being? And what exhaust is on it?

For a budget, intake, free flowing exhaust and a tune will wake them up. BlackBear makes a tune for the 5.7 Vortec engines now if you ever really want to make power swap the camshaft out for an LT4 Hotcam. We aren't running any exhaust just pure straight pipe

Too sweet. I have an 03 4.8 and a Garrett Turbo from a 6.5 GM diesel. I havent had much encouragement yet but you guys prove a diesel turbo will work on a gas engine. I also have an option for a Turbo from an 06 Powerstroke. I'm thinking it may be too big tho. My theory is the Garrett makes 15 lbs boost @ 3000 rpm on a 4000 cu in diesel. So it's going to make way more at 5-6000 rpm on a 294 cu in gas. The Powerstroke turbo would be more suited to a 6.0 or 6.2 L LS motor than a tiny 4.8. Am I onto something? Or should I rethink this whole thing? I do plan on upgrading the torque converter to about 2500- 2800 stall & the 4L60 internals, plus a better cam from crane, bigger injectors & home ported 243 Heads along with ARP Rod bolts & head studs, wide band O2 & I want to mount it in the bed of my 88 Silverado! Any thoughts from you guys?

I daily a big turbo Audi right now. Boost is a wonderful thing. Just needed more space for my business life. A v8 blazer+boost is making much more sense. I'll be excited to see what numbers you put down.

xBroWsinG putting the turbos in the engine bay would be cheaper since you don't have to run piping to the rear. Use a big single rather than 2 small turbos, and eliminate the scavenge pumps.
