Hey, Amazing tutorial!!! Very detailed and helpful. But does Turbogrid generate a full mesh (of a turbine for example) or just the mesh of one passage? In addition, is it possible to create an animated solution of a transient simulation of 2 different components using CFX (compressor + estator for example), where the mesh files were created in turbogrid?

Turbogrid meshes one airfoil passage at a time. For a single-stage turbine with a stator and rotor, two Turbogrid blocks are required to mesh the entire machine (one for each airfoil row). I have no knowledge on your second question, unfortunately.

Go to Blocking > Check/Fix Blocks. Run 'Fix Inverted Blocks' then run 'Check/Fix

no. But you can mesh internal blade in icem cfd or ansys meshing and import it to CFX Pre. Non con-formal mesh is recommend for heat transfer application.

Thanks for your reply but is it possible to couple one periodic segment of the turbine or the compressor to a full 360 deg housing.. for solid-fluid , fluid,fluid and solid-solid interface in CFX ?? If the entire geometry is used my mesh exceeds 40 million cells .. and your tutorials on ICEM Periodicity is very helpful .. Thank you again
