I have lost count of how many times I have watched it or listened to it, and I always cry, especially at the end when he sings about them growing older and that he "will be there at your side to remind you how I still love you." Love of my life, you've hurt me You've broken my heart And now you leave me Love of my life, can't you see? Bring it back, bring it back Don't take it away from me Because you don't know What it means to me Love of my life, don't leave me You've taken my love And now desert me Love of my life, can't you see? Bring it back, bring it back Don't take it away from me Because you don't know What it means to me You will remember When this is blown over And everything's all by the way When I grow older I will be there at your side To remind you how I still love you I still love you Back, hurry back Please, bring it back home to me Because you don't know What it means to me Love of my life Love of my life Ooh, ooh

Actually, he didn’t write this song for Mary. It’s a big misconception, but Freddie himself said “Love of my life, for instance, I simply made up. There’s nothing personal about it.”

Yesterday I saw a nice tribute band of Queen playing this live on stage. Didn't know this song existed and I was nearly brought to tears. The guys from "Break Free" were totally amazing and I was finally able to embrace the love of my life again: music! Seeing them playing guitar so beautifully was inspiring for me! This video shows me how close the Coverband actually was to the original. I'm glad and thankful for this experience.
