FIXING STUCK / RUSTED QUAD CAB DOOR LATCHES ON A DODGE RAM

TIRED of not being able to open your quad cab doors?
Upgraded video from my previous one 2 yrs ago- removing rusted latch mechanism & installing a new one on my new truck, Parker.

lol I just had to do another one of my trucks 2 days ago, & I referenced this video again for grinding off the latch at the bottom. Didn't seem like there was enough room to get my 4 1/2" angle grinder in there

A mid length socket would be nice for that job and my truck is black and pwr window switches locks and heated mirrors..

The truck I got earlier this year is the same as yours the rear Dr side door is stuck at the bottom and I have seen some aftermarket latches brand new on eBay for like $45 I'm thinking whether I do that or source OEM decent latches I'm just going to replace them both instead of just the one that doesn't open..

Depends on how long you plan to keep the truck. If you get something on ebay I would look for some made in the USA; they seem to last longer & I like supporting US businesses when I can

My door Dr side rear door seems to be stuck at the top and the bottom of the door.. passenger side works like new...

once you remove the latch / puck from the bottom, it all works again

What about a silicone spray formula for lubrication on the latch mechanism?!

Silicone seems to dry out a little too fast for me; I think silicone & fogging oil together would be a good, lasting combination

Looks like youve got a supercab, not quad cab. Quad cab has 4 full size doors.

might be; we have always called them quad cab. Supercab sounds bigger which would indicate the bigger full size doors. Every time we see an ad on marketplace with my style truck, it's always called a quad cab
