Excellent exposition. Your love for your native language is obvious by the way you enjoy pronouncing Turkish sentences so carefully and beautifully for us. I really enjoy hearing your lovely language when you speak.

At 6:07. You have "Bugün sizde ne yapacağız?" translated as "What are we going to do at your place?, but I wuuld translated it to "What are we going to do with you today?" where did I go wrong? Can you help me? Thanks.

When you use the Locative Case -de/-da with pronouns, you can use it to talk about the house of someone 'Sizde' meaning at your place/home. It would be incorrect to say 'with you' with 'Sizde'. But you can say 'Sizinle' for with you (the Instrumental Case).

Hey! When exactly do we use the dative case other than for "to" because u said that it isn't always used as 'to'
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk 3 жыл бұрын
In intermediate Turkish, we use it with different structures to say different things. For example: 'Cuma+y+a kadar' meaning until Friday. It is also used with certain conjunctions covered in intermediate Turkish. You should first focus on the basic usages before moving onto intermediate structures. You will see different usages for different Case Markers once you move onto more difficult grammar topics. ;)

Hi! Is the accusative case and the article"the" the same lesson but different title names?
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk 3 жыл бұрын
Turkish doesn't actually have articles. The Accusative Case is used similar to the English 'the' article. This lesson will cover the topic you mention. There aren't different lessons for this ;)

@@LearnTurkishwithGokberk if I is used the same as "the" of the Turkish then it means it has articles🙄. If not then ı won't be there at all
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk 3 жыл бұрын
@@Zain0_0 When we translate a Turkish sentence into English, it functions similar to the English "the" article. But in Turkish grammar itself, that's a different thing. Turkish has, the indefinite article "a/an" when we use "bir" (one) infront of an adjective/noun but that's about it when comparing the similarities between Turkish and English grammar.

@LearnTurkishwithGokberk 4 жыл бұрын
@@fizasohailkhan5380 Well its a really long topic and you need to look at the chart I show at that lesson. It's basically a buffer letter (balancing letter) used between vowels. We also use it before we add another case marker to the noun.

Ayşe'ye What is the meaning of "ye"?
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk 3 жыл бұрын
It's the Dative Case with the buffer letter "y". It means "to" in Turkish. "Ayşe'ye = to Ayşe". We use the buffer letter "y" because "Ayşe" ends in a vowel letter. We also use the " ' " before the case marker because "Ayşe" is a proper nouns (a person's name). Hope this answers your question ;)

Ediyor and Yapiyor, are they synonyms?
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk
@LearnTurkishwithGokberk 2 жыл бұрын
No they aren't synonyms. They have different meanings and usages. "Yapmak" means "to do/to make". "Etmek" has no meaning by itself. It is used with other nouns to make phrasal verbs in Turkish.

Yaptığın işe saygım var ama izlediğim birkaç videon da bir çok hata gördüm. Bir öğretmenlik misyonunu üzerine almış biri olarak bunun sorumluluğuna da alıp yanlışlarını duzeltmelisin. Yanlış öğretme. Dil öğrenmek zaten kolay değil bir de akılda extradan soru işaretleri bırakmanın mantığı yok
