Turkish Focaccia | Pida Bread
Extremely easy, soft fluffy and tasty, this is the traditional Turkish bread.
You will need simple ingredients and you will have lots of fun making this special bread, you will love it.

1 Pida:
100 ml lukewarm water
100 ml lukewarm milk
Fresh yeast 10 g (or dry yeast)
1 tsp sugar
25 ml vegetable oil
1 egg
350 g +/- all purpose flour
2 tsp salt
Egg wash
Poppy seeds
Sesame seeds
INSTRUCTUIONS:
Combine the wet ingredients such as: water, milk, yeast, egg, oil and the sugar. Mix all very well and add the flour with the salt.
Knead the dough until you have a soft ball and maybe also a bit tacky is fine.
Let it rest for 2 hours approximately to double in size.
Remove the dough from the bawl and deflate gently. Place the dough on the oven tray and give it a round shape. Let it rest for 20 minutes.
Brush with egg wash, give the traditional square shapes with your fingers, sprinkle the poppy seeds and sesame seeds and bake for 15(20 minutes at 250 °C.
