Blessings be upon your mother and your father, I honestly have to say this is one of the best videos and I think it's because it's just an everyday kind of life. I enjoy seeing the everyday foods that people eat in different cultures, sometimes I think those make some of the best videos there's an old saying there's a place for everything for the fancy and for the everyday. And I would like to thank you for bringing both so that we can share and enjoy and learn blessings to you and yours my dear❤❤❤❤❤

What a lovely long view into your life and I really admire the amount of cooking you do and how will your mom and dad fit into that whole paradigm of eating sort of natural foods, including the roasted chestnuts and all the vegetables and things that you do and enjoy as part of your culture and cuisine thank you very much

I am about the same age as your parents, and also enjoy watching the old Istanbul videos. They remind me of my childhood in the 1950's and 60's in South Africa, with many similarities. Best wishes to your parents!

Dear Aysenur, the large root vegetable that you sliced and shredded you called celery. It is in fact called celeriac in English. Celery is a very different vegetable. Thanks as usual for this wonderful video

This is amazing! So informative and really shows us how simple yet beautiful Turkish food is prepared and shared. Your love and passion for cooking is palpable. Your English is amazing! How did you learn/what did you use? I am currently learning Turkish as a native English speaker. Afiyet olsun ❤️

Thank you so much! Happy to hear it. Glad to hear you liked my English as a native speaker. I used to live in NY for a time but it was long time ago. After lunching my English channel I begin to practice more. Sometimes I write before voiceover, it make everything easier.

Hi, I’m the alternate medicine student who commented on one of your previous videos. First, I wanted to say. I loved this video. I loved how honest it was. It’s interesting seeing aspects of everyday life in other countries. :) Second, as someone who is very interested in antiques and going to Turkey. I’d love to know more about places to look at antiques in Istanbul. Recently a Turkish friend of mine stayed with me and I took him to the thrift store in my town, he absolutely loved it.He said that they don’t really have thrift stores in Turkey. So I’m curious to know what the differences are.
