Thank you for your time and posting. Have fun. Very nice music at a nice level BTW. In 1977 I took the fairy from Italy to Greece, where I stayed for four nights on a rooftop. They charged one dollar a night for backpackers. It rained for two days so we slept in the hallways. Still fun.

Depends what you are looking for, but best time is April May, September October. Nov.1 they roll up the sidewalks. End of season. It’s NO day. When they said no to the Italian invasion in WW2. If you are looking for sun and beach then different months but crowded as heck.

Very informative. I've spent quite a bit of time in Greece and it always felt to me like a more expensive less friendly version of Turkey... And yes you're right you notice the prices it's been too much tourism in Greece and things have gone up. I'm feeling that Euro will get weaker that will help..

Oh, I had such a good port call in Rhodes. Curious about your take on Greek beer. I spent the previous ten years in Portland, OR, and much as I love Greece, I'm not impressed with their beer. Oh, I'll drink it, but I do think wistfully of the PNW when I do. Enjoy!

We've learned that most areas have a nice light beer, so we've gotten used to that. But we do love getting back to the PNW and enjoying some of our craft favorites ☺

Hi. Try and get to the other end of the island and outside the Castle. Miles and miles of empty white sand beaches. Well there used to be , last time we found that the houses had gone all the way to Lindos beach. So maybe behind developments. First time we were in Rhodos came upon old graves in caves with the bodies still in them. Doubt if those are still there. Really interesting small villages in the mountains, again , used to be.

So, how do you like the Greek beer? I have to say, I am a life long beer connoisseur, but after about 1 week trying all kinds of Greek beers, I just could not stomach that overly sweet sticky stuff anymore, and switched to Retsina for the remaining two weeks on Corfu. 😋

Okay. Now in full on jealous mode as I look at the weather, the colour of the water, the food and beer along with your two balconies to sit and watch Greece so by! Outstanding! You had a flat calm ferry day and I can imagine that others may not be so lucky. Good to know about the legroom as someone 6'4". Enjoy Greece and all that it offers. The grocery store looked comprehensive and fresh. A practical item to know early is where to get the food and prepare for the next meal. Enjoy the feta, the mousaka and all Greek delights! Cheers!

You may have already discussed this somewhere, but how do you get to Fethiye, Antalya, etc? Do you typically rent a car? I was searching for how to get from Istanbul to these places, but Google Maps doesn't show much. Do you ride buses / fly?

Hi! You can fly, drive or take a bus. We took a bus from Fethiye to Antalya and it was only 3 hours. But from Istanbul, we flew, it would be a very long bus ride.

We were just there. Flew down to Dalaman and rented a car from there. Easy drive but parking can be a challenge in Fethiye when it’s busy. In hindsight we should have bussed from the airport and rented a car strategically in Fethiye. Hope that helps!

When u need to print something, do u usually look for Internet cafes (I know they did back in 90s when I traveled Europe but do they still exist?) or where do you print tickets while traveling?

For these tickets, you could just go to the ticket office. Any other time we need to print anything - we've found print and copy places are very easy to find.

US passport holders do we need a visa for Rhodes Greece going from Fethiye via ferry. Just for a day visit.

Because Greece is part of the Schengen, it will count as one of your 90 allowed days within 180 day period. You don't need to apply for that visa, you automatically get it.

Hi. Try to get to the west of the island and interior. Massive empty white sand beaches. Although the last time we were there the housing had spread down to Lindos beach. So I might be talking about history! First time at the far end we came on old graves with bodies in the caves. I doubt any of that remains.
