Termisan. You are making a seamless repeat in this video. What isn't a seamless repeat is the document which you are filling with the seamless repeat - which is a totally different issue altogether. A pattern is typically seamless. The same elements are repeated in the design but you can't see where the pattern begins and ends. These are often recognizable shapes like polkadots, flowers etc.. Textures are just designs that look interesting but aren't necessarily repeats and often aren't recognizable at all as anything more than being 'interesting'. A texture might be a photo of a piece of cracked concrete or paint or something similar. Check out this site for some typical textures: www.textureking.com/ To see what patterns are by contrast go to Vecteezy.com and look up pattern. You will see the difference if you look up texture there too. Typically patterns are used for fabric, wall paper, wrapping paper, carpets etc. I hope this helps?

Hi Helen, I'm back. Ok, I can make a pattern now, open a new document and resize the pattern. So happy about this. My question is - I have made 5 patterns, so say I want to use No:3 pattern, how do I get it to open. The last pattern (No: 5) always comes up. In other words, I want to reuse a pattern, not always the last one which comes up. I have been playing around for hours and just can't work it out. BTW, I am from Central Coast Sydney, and a Granny and my head hurts!!!

+grannyzeebee Hi there. This is a good question and I am sorry your head hurts but it is a good hurt because you are learning so much. So, when you go to add a pattern to a document you will see beside the little picture of the pattern you are about to use that there is a sort of arrow thing - click it and you will see all your patterns! Click the one you want to use and you're off and running. If you are still stuck, let me know... and I'll try to help - k?

It should be there. However I’ve been having some problems with the latest version of Photoshop - Photoshop CC 2020 and so you might want to try it with an older version of Photoshop and see if you get better results.
