I'm a container gardener and a beginner. Could you grow tomatoes in one or would a grow bag be better?

you could, keep in mind it is quite heavy, and when you water it would drip down!

You are better off placing them on top of stacked pallets. When full of dirt and watered the weight is more than a table could bare.

Someone said to put them on a wooden pool to raise them up.
