You could get a double crop out of those pools *and* control mosquitos by *also* culturing different varieties of Medaka ricefish for sale. Very cool setup!

That's so neat. It's too bad because I love the colors of the pools. I had one that was pink and yeah only about two years in the direct sun. Not good. If only the covers came in nicer colors like blue and purple.

My concern with the color of the plastic is that the water would heat up and cook the roots. I live in South Florida where it DOES get hot.

What about white plastic? It would reflect sunlight and keep water cooler. I'm in Tx..

How do you control mosquito larva in the water? Can bladder wort survive the hot shallow water?

The videos are great and informational but does anyone else kind of not like how the mic picks up the sound of them taking a breath or swallowing? Is it just me? That aside thank you for the vid!

Don't let little things rent big issues space in your mind; Ignore it darling and focus on the info.

I will bet money the plastic is not 6mm. More like 0.6mm maybe

Thanks for watching the video! It's a common mistake to confuse mil with mm. Mil is an empirical unit, 1/1000th of an inch. It's a standard measurement for sheets of plastic in the United States.

I plan on using the pools I bought for growing my potatoes and after purchasing four a curious person asked a scary question; Won't the plastic leach into the soil?
