That's a cute little pot Mike. I think I shall try that. It doesn't look too difficult. It was good watching you do the neck. I always have problems getting a curve like that smooth. Seeing how you hold the spindle gouge coming from the bottom sure makes it much better. Time to go practice.

You can do it!

Nice little twig pot. 👍👍Off center turnings are fun. They can be a bit frustrating trying to figure out what the finished shape is going to be though. And there are so many combinations of center points that can be used. Like same offset at each end, offset at one end only, or opposite offsets. You have done some of those too and they are all neat. Thank you for sharing Mike. Have a great day. 🙂🙂

I love your videos Mike. When your lathe is running it's really hard to hear your voice. Have you ever tried a neck mounted microphone? It would be great to hear your guidance s lot clearer without having to adjust the volume level throughout the video. 😊 Keep up the good work Mike. 😊 👍

Thanks for that. I do and should have used it.

Good explanation for this project. In our last club meeting, our theme was a multi axis turning. Wish I had seen this earlier. But good video. (I sent you an email with some "buy me a coffee" questions. Did you see it)? Sam

What are you saying? Does it have anything to do with my video?

This is a poor example for the younger generation to see someone wearing a wedding ring while using machinery.

I agree. Thanks for the reminder.

I’ve done worse. Like ramming a sawzall blade thru my hand due to not paying attention while up on a roof of all places. We can let Mike’s wedding ring slide this time. :p :D

This is mentioned a lot and by a lot of people. But I don't think wearing a ring while turning is particularly dangerous. It would be lot more dangerous if it were a wedding ring and you lost it because you took it off. Irritated wives can be hell. 😡I would be a lot more critical about face shields, dust masks, hearing protection and loose clothing myself.

Mr. Crandall, I assume you have never seen a finger that a ring stripped all the flesh from the bone, it happen in a split second. Also seen where a ring had to be cut off a swollen finger.

@@jaymiller286 May I ask if those were wood turning related?
