If you stil have it, just make a catch lever yourself out of aluminium. Even though it was still under warranty at t he time, I didn't want it to break again on a shot, so I made one. It took me a day to do it, but I only had a cheap drill stand, a hack saw and a file.

i Had the same clip break on my syrp genie II. Sent it back and they replaced! But this has been a huge problem since syrp was bought out by Manfrotto!

I had mine replaced twice but my warranty expires tomorrow. That's why I'm a little concerned , because out of warranty it will probably cost a lot. If I order the part myself , i can fix it from under $75. I just don't want to have another failure in front of a client.

If manfrotto would create a metal latch for replacement that would be amazing. Otherwise I love the Syrp system.

I'm working with someone to CAD draw plans for CNC, based on the part I removed and measured. Until then we can at least order the part and fix it ourselves for under $75.

I opened a new case with Manfrotto for the broken replacement item. Part of the issue is that they closed the original case when the replacement shipped. I had to wait 5 days for it to arrive, and since they closed the case I was unable to reply to it, and inform them that its broken. I opened the new case with the old case number included, detailing the situation, and they haven't responded to me in 13 days. The original RMA case was resolved within 72 hours. At this point I'm not too optimistic about this situation, and the more I look the more failed units I find. When I checked ebay earlier today, the only used listings all had a broken latch.

Got a reply today, they said they are slammed and asked me if I still need help. Obviously... Can't respond until Friday since I'm on location with clients in Arizona.
