The only problem with this is when you need to use your spare tire. The. You have more work to remove everything and put everything back. Then what happens if the reason you need to use the spare is you tore the hell out of your tire, or it’s malformed, or for various reasons all you have is a rim. (You tore your tire off the rim) then how do you mount this to just a rim? Or to torn up tire?

You can adjust the rack so it sits high enough to clear the brake light or simply remove the 3rd brake light. Thanks!

This is steel and it weighs 30 lbs

The weight savings would not been minimal, we would have needed to use much thicker material to provide the necessary strength. We looked into it! Thanks!
