My first plane and still one I enjoy to fly. After many repairs my original is a belly lander. I have a newer one. So I just ordered this kit.

Seems like a great way to get more life out of an aeroscout once you outgrow it

Yup. It's a plane that you can make rather challenging to fly with max throws. It's super enjoyable.

Best RC plane channel hands down. You and Model AV8R are my go too for new planes. You make the hobby reviews fun but very informational. It must be a lot of work to keep this channel going and we appreciate it. Keep up the great work, Captain!

OMG 😲 A bush plane ! Yeah boy 👊😎 Now you want to talk about real pilots. Now these guys go in with world war II Navy tires into the wilderness & for SAR or a RAS purposes or simply for practical civilian insertion and extraction. Excuse me for military terms, I'm just an old US Navy rotorhead so. But that is bad to the Bone I know gets us some water and do what Bush pilots do in surf the water with the balloon wheels. That is bad to the Bone 👊😎☠️ I just love it and I was able to watch it on my TV. First one ever. The rest were under 60 Sec. So it wouldn't allow me to put it on TV but now I can watch it. This is awesome. John, that was close to your face brother. You have no idea that went really close 🫣👀

Awesome conversion! I've been slowly replacing stock plastic gear rudder and elevator servos with those 9g FMS metal gears and I'm really impressed with how well they hold up to abuse. I fly daily and in tight, sketchy (by RC flying standards) areas. Haven't burned one up, yet. Can't say the same for plastic gears. Thanks for bringing this conversion to us, Jon. And great job, Jon's wife, keeping focus and frame while ducking! My wife gave up filming for me a while ago 😂👍

Happy to help! We went into this knowing it probably wouldn't perform all that well with the viewership, but it's important to help smaller companies out who make mods for airplanes that everyone loves.

If you are ever looking for 9 gram servos again you should try the Towerpro MG92B. They are actually 12g same size as the 9g but they center perfectly are buttery smooth fast with lots of torque digital servos. Twisted Hobbies recommended them to me 3 years ago for their XL 3dge 540 3D planes. I now put them in all my foam planes. The best part is that they are only 8 dollars each at value hobby online store in the USA can even buy them in bulk on eBay. I now own over 200 of them and only had 2 DOA and they replaced them. Even after hard crashes that destroy a plane I rip them out and pit them on a new one. They have never failed me. RC groups has a big following thread on these servos and how much they are praised for being a budget servo outperforming servos double the price.

Ok, I just caught that you said you only just started flying RC planes in late 2020. I started in mid-2020 during the stupid pandemic and I have nowhere near the skills you have sir (and likely, no where near the stick time which makes a huge difference). I'm very impressed with your skilled flying and your content (I'm a subscriber) - please keep it up!

Gotta admit, this mod is seriously tempting. But I put floats on my Aeroscout a while back and I’m still enjoying the heck out of flying it off water. Likely not putting wheels back on anytime soon. Think I am going to go for the servo upgrades though.

@weshillsberry6275. I agree completely. I have never owned a "nose dragger" and never will, unless it is to modify it to put the wheels in the proper orientation.

AWESOME!!! Jon I wonder what size prop are you running stock? You got perfect set up there now if only if it was able to hover? Maybe on lightweight 4s pack like a 1300 mah????
@TwoBrosRC9 күн бұрын
It's the 3-blade E Sky Eagles prop - no idea what pitch it is, but it both makes the Scout way louder and produces about 30% more thrust. Hovering is probably out of the question lol
@3DMOFO20209 күн бұрын
@@TwoBrosRC I read somewhere that a Gemfan 6x4.1 2 bladed prop could make powerful and quiter???

Don't forget to address the foam hinges on the aeroscout. They will fail and it is absolutely worth it to beef them up by whatever method you like best.
@TwoBrosRC8 күн бұрын
The aileron hinges are taped so they can't come loose. Only the rudder might fail over time.
@danflom12718 күн бұрын
@@TwoBrosRC I lost my first aeroscout due to aileron separation. The tape is only on one side.

Stock ESC? Three blade prop size? I have had the KIN kit for about a month now and it's interesting.

@robdapraia34869 күн бұрын
Nice, was considering the kit to be able to take off from high grass. If you want the aeroscout to be more monster, consider 3 blade prop Master Airscrew 6x3.2 3-Blade to get some extra thrust, see kzbin.info/www/bejne/ZpjNmah5erR9aKc
@txkflier9 күн бұрын
It sounds terrible. Try a UMX Draco 4-blade prop..
@TwoBrosRC9 күн бұрын
Of course it sounds terrible - that's the whole point! It's making a ton of thrust with the 3-blade prop that the E-Sky Eagles shipped with.
