"Sell your expertise, not your time". The moment someone realises this on a deep level, everything changes for them. I've seen beauty therapists go from back to back clients, working every hour that God sends and still only making 40K per year, to generating 200K+ per year by shifting to helping their clients transform, while working just 2 days per week with much higher quality clients. This topic is highly nuanced and most miss the opportunity right under their nose. Once again though Dan, you've articulated it exceedingly well and there's more value in this video than most $2000 courses.

@lilyofthelabyrinth9 ай бұрын
By higher quality clients, do you mean higher paying? Because in general, if one does service work and shifts from working more hours for clients of a lower socioeconomic class to working less hours for clients of a higher socioeconomic class, that would result in what you described. A simple business move, but this is part of the logic that helped put us all in a major economic pinch that affects lower socioeconomic classes disproportionately. Trade offs

I used to think all life must die... and it will, in time. This time we have is borrowed, and must not be squandered. It is observation of the squandering which leads to the perception that life is meaningless. But this observation also reveals that we, as sentient singularities, have the gift of assigning meaning and relevance upon creation through our perception. That is our power... it has been squandered... but it can also be amplified. Life is exactly what you make it. If you don't like your creation, then recreate it to reflect your inner brilliance.... And breathe a new life into existence.

question for Dan or whoever knows how to help with this. What if someone wants to be a filmmaker more then anything, he has a consulting offer (based on coaching others in high level communication skills) that he wants to try for the bulk of his income but filmmaking is what he wants to dedicate most of his other time to. The filmmaking is not educational content or anything that can directly lead to a specific following and it def is a longshot to success income wise considering you gotta get lucky in that industry, but its his main passion. Would i use filmmaking as a means of getting a following and then direct that traffic to my offer and service or is it more advisable to do the content creator stuff and do educational writing
