boom there it is..Never thought about leaving the roof rails and then cutting them to arc the roof line. Saves a ton of work on removing the entire roof section plus leave material to maintain alignment. Same thing with the package tray, leave it in for structure plus do not need to spend a fortune on the fastback rear seat and accessories. Always great to watch your stuff.

Hey Mr Gonein60, love your Mustang FB work. I think we’re fellow Tennesseans. I live near Manchester and I’m work on converting my ‘67 Coupe to a FB. It’s as you say “rusty as a grubbing hoe”, but I plan on doing a lot of sheet metal replacement. Your videos have given me inspiration… Keep doing what you’re doing. Dan

I'm debating doing the conversion on my 67 Coupe or getting the quarters and trunk drop offs repaired. I know you do this work for customers, what do you charge for the entire conversion including parts/materials, not including the interior because I would want to source the interior parts back to the original fold down seat that would have come in a factory fastback. Having the vehicle delivered to your address of course. I'd have the rear glass and door glass shipped with it. Just want to drive it away and worry about finishing the interior later and getting it painted immediately.

Have you ever done a 69 coupe to fastback conversion? I'm in the process of replacing sheet metal on mine but there's 3 pieces I can't find so I might have to do the conversion process in the end. I can't find the rear quarter panel end caps the weld to the quarter panel, tail light panel, and truck panel for either side and can't find the piece that is at the bottom of the rear window that goes to the trunk. Also the rear deck panel under the rear window I can't find and it's rusted out also.
@MrGonein602 ай бұрын
@jasonmanes3862 yes I've done a few. Most parts suppliers sell the parts you mentioned. I know cj pony does. I wouldn't buy sheetmeta like quarters or roof from them though. The small stuff you could get from them though.
@jasonmanes38622 ай бұрын
@@MrGonein60 I've even called multiple mustang parts dealers and no one has those parts for the coupe. Found them for the 68 and before coupe but not the 69/70. They all have the parts for the fastback though.😢 With going your route, what's the total cost to do the swap, parts and labor?

Hello. I ordered the interior trunk divider brace like you show on 1:48:00+-. Mine comes with a bracket, i'm assuming connects to the hinges, like a stopper for the trunk lid, but mine only had one bracket. In your video I can see the same bracket at the bottom of the box but can't see if it is one bracket for each side or just one. Do you know if it should be 1 or 2 bracket? Thank you!!

@mikeseldomridge8052 because after building probably 60 or more fastbacks I realized bracing them up is useless and actually hinders me from being able to jack up or lower the rear frame rails into place. Over time these cars sag or twist or have been involved in accidents.
