Man I've wanted this 3D Printed kit for AGES! And I finally have it! Is it everything that I dreamed of? ...Not really. But you should watch the full review anyways. Needless to say, it looking like an old-timey World War 1 Rifle (Lee Enfield I assume) makes it just so much better looking and this kit really does look amazing... but honestly, at what cost? Well, like $80. And doesn't come with everything you need. Not only do you need a proper barrel, but mine didn't even come with screws to hold it together.

On top of the absolute necessity to paint the body as well as practically every visible aspect of the original blaster besides the stock. even an orange trigger would kill the look. I'd much rather just buy an airsoft gun for historical replica type deals, they have us beat there really

Just want to mention because I don't think I did: the reason you didn't see the whole install video is because I used the wrong hardware kit. In fact, I don't think I was given a Hardware Kit for this. I looked all over and couldn't find anything. What you see on this blaster is what I just had laying around that fit. Again, not recommending everybody go out and buy this, but to a very small subsection of you this kit is worth it.

Believe it or not: There is actually another very big problem with this kit: Whoever printed this was not thinking of the orientation of the parts on the build platform. The little post in there which broke did not stand a chance of holding up, even if it was printed at 100% infill because it was oriented the wrong way. i.ibb.co/4T9qHYs/post.jpg Looking closer at this you can see the perimeter and infill of that little post which means we're looking at one layer (aka the post was printed upright). FDM prints are especially weak in between layers as it's simply heated up a tiny bit to glue the layers to each other. To have this post hold anything at all it needs to be printed on its side so the force of holding the two parts together doesn't just shear off two layers of this post (which it immediately did).

Intergrate a sling fire stock on a Retaliator, dremel holes to use the l96 bolt action kit, intergrate this on, use a raptorstrike mag,, giv the Retaliator a full seal breech and make the brass long enough to be as long as the barrel and until it reaches the tip of the enfield barrel, spray paint ,spring upgrade, xpt, scar barrel, scope and you should get,above 150 fps

You might be able to use some of Worker's faux barrel material in there if it's the right size. In regards to the Slingfire kit you mentioned: I'm pretty happy with the kit. It's more work than just dropping it in because the muzzle piece they use is just a Longshot one that someone has actually cut pieces off of, but the performance is solid. Around 125fps with Worker darts, 145fps with ACC3 darts. Definitely worth the ~$24 I paid from AKBlasterMod for it.

Oh yeah, the stock completes the look, but a bolt action would have been more accurate to the intended real steel counterpart. It looks pretty, too bad for the shabby infill.

It does look super-awesome, but at the same time I feel like if you really need one you could always heat up some PVC and mold it into that shape (with difficulty, but undoubtedly at much lower cost). I've already done the same for a short-lived rapidstrike mod that I made to look like an AK47 (before I cannibalized the gear for an Auto-pistol). Molded PVC grips can look a little chunky, but the PVC only cost me NZ$20, and with that I made a solid AK stock too. I would much sooner take the time to make solid PVC attachments than buy something that wont survive a day, and costs 4 times more.

Long observation incoming: I have come to a conclusion on the NERF mod community..it is filled with people who want to shoot at each other with realistic looking weapons..without the pain associated with airsoft, nor the expense. Yes modding can be somewhat expensive but on the whole supporting an airsoft hobby is just as if not more expensive due to needing gas canisters for gas powered airsoft guns, on top of that it is far FAAR easier to find a place to play NERF and get permission to do campus/town wide HvZ events with NERF than it is for Airsoft. Airsoft fields are at a premium where I live..as in I only know of 1 and it's an indoor field in a mall about 40 minutes away. After that for me as far as I know it's the big one in Myrtle Beach that's the closest and for me that is a literal day trip and a night in a cheap hotel to enjoy..plus gas, entry fee, all expenses needed for an airsoft hobby and the money needed for food and said hotel ..NERF? Any decent sized park will work and those are in easy supply and you don't really have to worry about a stray shot hitting a little kid or animal unlike with airsoft where you can get a tiny plastic bb cracking in a 400+fps depending on if you use spring, electric or gas for your primary and back up, on top of bb grenades, smoke, flash bang and all that...I know you can get some bio grenades that are mostly cardboard and shoot out dried peas instead of bbs or biodegradable bbs so you don't have to pick up after yourself but those are not cheap either..and we're talking about needing MILLIONS of bbs for each of your mags and shells if you use shotguns..and if it's an outdoor place I'd feel obligated to use the biodegradable bbs since they would be so dang hard to clean up with regular plastic ones. Between NERF and Airsoft it seems it's like NERF is the training ground or relaxing point for those who are into airsoft or paintball..cause they want a break from bruises.

I make 3d printed nerf conversion for prop use. I would never make a WW1 rifle from a sling fire. further more the thin shells of the print are purely to save money i assure you. I print with 6 outer shells ( 3mm thick)for strength I'm currently working one converted from a worker bolt action kit but its on the back burner with all my other orders for Division 2.

Nah, it's pretty clearly a weird hybrid Enfield. The SMLE's distinctive front sight protector is present (in hideous, rectangular form), but the shape of the stock is more in line with an Enfield "Rifle, .303, Pattern 1914" or its .30-06 counterpart the 1917 "American Enfield" issued to the American Expeditionary Force in greater numbers than the legendary 1903 Springfield.

Well.. _that happened.._ To be honest, as much as I love the Lee Enfield rifle, this is far from anything I'd ever use, even for cosplay reasons. The lack of the inner barrel really hurts any potential it had, and the fact that its for the Slingfire makes it worse. The Slingfire is an okay blaster, yes, but for a Lee Enfield build? No. Something that was bolt action would have been a better idea. I mean, sure. If you want to mess around, strip some parts, and make the Slingfire into a prop Lee Enfield, go ahead. I'm not going to do it myself, when I already have an airsoft replica that does the job. If you want a good-looking barrel for your Slingfire, there's better, and even cheaper options.There's even stock lengthening kits for it for those of us who are older and bigger. I've run a Slingfire a few times, and I've lengthened the barrel and stock with a kit, and strengthened the spring, and it works well as that. It works well as a Winchester Repeating Rifle sort of build, but not a Lee Enfield.
