Even with a center locked diff the rear takes all the abuse.

Thanks for watching! Yes if your center diff is locked the rear diff will take most of the abuse. If there is light weight diff oil in the center diff the power will transfer to the front tires. 🤙

I wish duratrax would make a belted bandito buggy tire. I really like them because they are very grippy but wear fast. The lockups are good all around with the C2 compund also but over 55 that really balloon and wear unevenly. Proline is waaaaay too proud of thier stuff. Belted buggy tires are expensive.

I agree. I really like the look of Bandito the tire just wish they came belted. The 3.8 Duratrax Bandito tires are belted but that doesnt help with the 1/8 scale buggies. 🤙

@@RadioactiveRC Speaking of duratrax, I bought some 3.8 Stakker ST 1/2' offset for my brushless tmaxx. They gripped so good but it made the truck flip on turns because I like it to slide. I took them off and sold them. Put the road rage street tires back on. Now it will slide and not flip sideways. for all out acceleration they were great.

Do you do any slipper clutch mods other than the steel spur for longevity? Seems like the slipper is just a band aid to prevent composite gears from getting shock load.

Good question. I made my own slipper clutch for this Typhon its still in research and development before it goes into others. So far its doing great! Your right about the slipper it takes the shock load. 🤙

How long are your composite ring and pinions lasting with the 6S? I just bought a vendetta and will keep it 3S for now but it will be an on road only car. Since it has such smaller tires I wonder how long the composite gears will hold up? Im thinking the rear will get steel gears properly setup and greased after the composite gears go.

I haven't had to replace one yet and I have a ton of run time on this Typhon. Stock gear with the right diff fluid run perfectly. I run 7K in back and 30K up front. 🤙

So other than battery volts...what telemetry is there using the arrma esc's?

No other telemetry just variable punch levels braking levels and voltage settings. 🤙
