Elijah Lawrence noo not new.. been supporting the channel since 90k subs. Everyone was asking for a MR2 update since it was just set aside for a while. I think the throtl guys even considered selling it at one point but to see it now I’m sure everybody at the huntquarters breaks their neck every time they walk passed it. Might even be the most bad ass car at the shop when it’s finished! 🤘🏼

Hello my beard brother. I would take a cardboard box the approximate size of the two vents put together and fill that whole box with expandable foam in a can. Maybe 4-5 cans. Let it set up. Then you can peel the cardboard off and shape it so you can fit the large foam block in the frunk. Then just carve out your scoops, cover with painters tape so resin doesn't stick, and 3 layers of chop mat. Bondo and glazing putty. Prime and paint. Done. Enjoying the MR2 my dudes.

when you do the snookles Mickie don;t forget the drain holes in them so they don't collect water in them nothing more irritating than when water pools up in them because we forgot to drill out the drain holes.but it's looking great guys and with the short throw shifter that will really be fun to shift and the sound system will rock.

There was an extremely small number of sw20 spiders made, most of which were silver with blue trim and blue interior accents, so painting the valve covers blue is kind of fitting. As far as I know they were only sold in Japan, and I know for a fact that two of the ones that were exported privately had that trim repainted silver or black, so there aren't many pictures available, at least searching in English.

You need to cut a one inch deep square into the center of that sheet of metal you were trying to fit and measure. Cut in such a way that the sheet will slide down one inch further than you had it, allowing the center bar of your "kidney holes" to fit into the one inch square. Then you can bend down the pair of flaps that are sticking into the radiator area. Those flaps should go down one inch, allowing plenty room to bolt or weld any way you like. once they are bent down, duct tape them to the wall that faces the radiator. now the flap can move loosely up and down inside the front. remove your skeleton and let the flap fall flat on the battery. close the hood and reach down to grab the flap and pull it up so it hits your vents inside. Now you can make it stay put with more duct tape in the radiator area and anywhere else you like to make it stay put. Sharpy marker the point where it kisses the hood vents. Now you can lift the hood and the metal sheet stays. Now carefully add metal skeleton center bar support to reflect its position and wrap the sides as needed. Avoiding rain in frunk requires much more typing but im happy to explain if needed ive done it twice.

Why not make a Styrofoam mold and fiberglass over that? Get some foam, mount it to the front of the frunk, shave the foam down till the hood lines up with the top of the foam (when it's closed) mark some lines from the hood scoops (?) and do the same where the inside of the frunk goes to the radiator. Then sand/shape them exactly how you want them so they can be two separate pieces. After that, you can wrap them with tape, saran wrap or use a fiberglass resin that doesn't react with the foam you chose and fiberglass them up with a flange on each side so the rubber gasket will make a perfect seal to the hood and you'll have a way to mount the snorkel on the inside of the frunk. Pretty simple to do and a hell of a lot cleaner job than trying to make it out of sheet metal. Good luck guys, can't wait to see it all done!
