Total Boat is #1. Cherry is my favorite wood to work with. I've been building projects with it for 50 years. From boot boxes and Grandfather clocks to cutting boards and vases. Accent it with walnut or maple and it has never displeased me. Your bowl is beautiful!

Total Boat is #1. Great looking bowl. Congrats to the Ack’s Winner. I use it all the time and Love it. Only thing I do different from you is after I apply the Ack’s Abrasive paste I then often do OB Shine Juice. Then lastly I apply a generous amount of the Ack’s Restorative Wax! Great results. 😊

I got a piece of cherry from someone that had chopped and spit it for firewood. That was the best looking bowl. The wood turned like a dream and polished so well. I wish that tree had fallen in my yard. It sucked I could only get one too

Cherry and Sapele are the best woods for turning into bowls (they cut like a dream) , while Mahoganey and Walnut make the best looking. IMHO With or without sanding sealer , Acks is the best finish to use. no doubt.

Total boat is #1 I like the sound of thickness/thinness of the bowl walls as you handled it. Almost delicate, like the fine china of woodworking. Minor concern. Is your lathe on casters? I really thought I saw some wobble at the end of the hollowing and I think a loose chuck connection would have shown up differently.
