Turning a Keg into a Gas Tank!

We don't have money to work on our hot rods, so we get back on "Eddie" our home-made man go-kart. Eddie needs a gas tank, so we turn a keg into one and its stainless steel, so we have to use the tig welder and neither one of us know how to use it....

Guy that i used to weld for blew half his head off welding on a gas tank, be careful. You can water bath test it.

@Set ur foot pedal on a low amp setting and press it to the floor and add more amps til the puddle wets out and doesn’t blow through the material it.try resting ur hand using ur pinky and upgrade to a gas lense cup look up furick cups and you will have better gas coverage and wire wheel or grinder flap disc material with clean dedicated flap wheel and use acetone on ur material and filler wire prep is key

Sharpen tungsten on dedicated belt sander or flap disc use a drill for a consistent point on the tungsten I tig weld for a living

Also pressure test with air and water so ur not wasting gas when u fill it up if any leaks occur
