Painting the Engine for the S10!

Last video we pull the engine to fix an oil leak, that after pulling we think was coming from the valve covers! so while we have it out, we gonna throw some paint on it!

Put some spreaders on the valve cover bolts to apply more pressure points and less cover warp. Less leaks.

The way the valve covers are made they won’t fit. Got a feeling we’ll be changing them one day.

I see the SRC merch yall where,cool beens!! I pretty sure they still use cork gaskets,because those rubber gaskets leak,blow out, and make you pull the engine out thinking it’s a rear main seal!! Might want to go cork, or be a dork,hahahahaha, Ya think??

It was the cork gasket that was leaking 🤣 I say it’s probably the valve covers not completely flat. With a tube of permatex on them they shouldn’t leak now! Probably be a pain to get back off too!🤣🤣

We have some studs with nuts that screw on, had to put some little washers on to keep the nut from going down beside the welds cause then you can’t get the socket on it to tighten it!🤣 1.6 rockers.
