I'm no pro, but my buddy wraps for a living and I've hung around his shop enough to learn about vinyl wrap. They're using the squeegee before pre-stretch and not using relief cuts. On curved surfaces you should only squeegee once you get the wrinkles out. If they follow instructions they can find here on youtube they would be able to wrap this thing no problem. I still think they're better off painting it nardo grey and then adding clear bra or wrapping it in Avery Real D High Gloss Carbon Fiber vinyl.

Hey guys, from an airline pilot, as far as the wing goes, mounting it at a higher angle will create more downforce but also more drag. Drag increases at the square of speed, so if speed doubles, drag increases four fold. At the speeds this car can go, it probably won’t affect things to much. For drag racing and some twisty roads, a moderately high angle will probably provide the best combination of downforce without to much drag slowing you down or using to much fuel. Great work! PEACE

One piece of advice lads. When you are running a turbo charged car and it's been driven, let the engine idle for a bit before you turn it off, so maybe fit a turbo timer. That way the turbo can spool down without damaging the insides. Plus that spoiler would look great on the Viper.
@camsterasmar9756 жыл бұрын
Andrew Drabble Or just drive normally at lower revs for the last few miles home, unless you thrash it all the way home! 🙈😂
@andrewdrabble89396 жыл бұрын
It doesn't matter whether you do that or not, the turbo is still spinning and needs to wind down. One of the companies in the group I work for reconditions turbos and I have seen some bad turbos
@camsterasmar9756 жыл бұрын
Andrew Drabble Turbos get hot...like really hot!!!! The problem with fast driving and then stopping the engine is that the oil that gets trapped within the turbo bakes in the residual heat as it very slowly cools down. When the engine is off there isn’t any oul flow. Your turbo timer option keeps the oil and coolant flowing to assist the turbo to cool down to operating temperature while you lock the car and walk away. Turbo timers usually run the engine for 3-5 minutes, at idle and without air flow. Like I said, unless you thrash your car right to your door there is no need for a turbo timer. Just drive normally for the last few miles and the turbo will cool down to operating temperature as you arrive home and then can turn off your engine just like the millions of other turbo engined owners out there. Turbo timer is only useful if you need to walk away from your car immediately after fast driving.

With the wing flat, it won’t displace enough air to create any significant downforce until you’re going at a very high speed. I would go more aggressive with the angle to be sure that you’re maximizing your downforce at a lower speed like 40-80mph for example. With the wing flat you’re probably looking at your downforce peaking around 120-160mph. The time you need the downforce is around corners where you’re usually traveling slower.

You gotta dry stretch the wrap with no heat pull it towards the corners kinda like in triangles to work all the bubbles out then once it’s nice and flat you take a heat gun to warm up the glue to make it stick while using the squeegee to get it to lay completely and stick properly

Carbon fiber wrap for hiood to match spoiler. And thank you for replying to your viewers it shows you care and welcome your viewers comments. Oh and if you was wondering why I spent 7 days in the hospital it was due to a rattle snake bite.

I have been watching all your builds, and I enjoy the channel a lot so thank you for making the content. Regarding the wing; flat for speed, and angled for downforce, you can also set it up with actuators so you can adjust it on the go from inside the car if you feel fancy.... ;) One thing that bothers me tough, is you guys got a bunch of track beasts, these cars are made for a track, the Corvette, the ZL1 the Viper, and the Goblin don't waste them on the drag strip.. take the Viper back to the road Atlanta, where it met the wall and became a salvage car... taking these cars to the drag strip, is like having a supermodel at home just to make dinner.... Set it up at Road Atlanta and I am sure several of the subscribers would join in, make it a Goonsquad meet, and lets trash it at the track... :)

@goonzquad Goonzquad, ... a couple questions. Why are the wheels and tire sizes not staggered? Appearance wise, the rears would benefit from being a wider size and possibly a larger diameter. This might also benefit traction/handling. Also, the car you guys tested originally did not have a cage above the passengers. Did you choose this current version specifically for safety reasons? The open cockpit Goblin looked better to me, personally.

Start flat, the more angle you have down, the more down Force on rear but can create lift on front with the minimal amount of weight you have.
