Iron maiden Ozzy Osbourne classic rock?
@TheSharkAnt
@TheSharkAnt 5 жыл бұрын
Well, they are from the 1980s and metal was still somewhat classifiable as a type of rock back in the day. Pretty much every genre of music is a subgenre of something else. Also, about you questioning Iron Maiden and Ozzy Osbourne being classic rock, saying that aren't classic rock would be like saying Post Malone isn't modern rap. Classic rock is and always will be a format.

Oh dear. The musical genre of a certain band, in this scenario Marilyn Manson, is not opinion based. Much like I can't label Led Zeppelin as black metal. Marilyn Manson is an industrial rock band. They do include elements of metal, such as screaming and so on, but are not a metal band. You are utterly ridiculous for thinking that your opinion determines the musical genre of a band.

The reason why I would write a comment like that, is because the title of this video creates certain expectations. By turning these songs, of which some are already metal, into djent, a niche style of playing that doesn't initially come in mind when thinking about metal, Steve doesn't fulfill the expectations he has created himself. I would have enjoyed this video much more if the title were something in the lines of: "Turning classics into djent", because if he had done so, this video would have fulfilled my expectations, as well as those of the other people who complain.
