Turning old coins to GOLD [Old To Gold]

I've got some old pound coins to take in, as mentioned you have to pay them into our bank account. Re: the tarnish on them, try lemon juice with a little salt and leave overnight and gently use some abrasive material to get the image back, which does matter as they will be recycled. Good luck with your first gold bar not far away now.

12:00 appears to be a cufflink with the missing swivel - I wish folks in the US would loose more "higher value" coins on the regular. Most common one of those for me is the 25 cent quarter. It would take 5 of those to equal your 1 quid coin.

You can bank all old pound coins but they have to be put into your bank account done it within the last year with all the old ones i have found

Have you seen any of Florida Beach Detecting Master Terry Shannon's videos or books? The hotspot you found can be visually pinpointed on any beaches, low spots, channels and 'cuts'. Do you know how to spot where the beach undertow is, the place that sweeps you out to sea? That is the place to look on the receding tide because the tide is like a gold sluice. Wedding band like that likely to be White Gold. I sold one for $280. 12:03 is a cufflink, missing the stone and the swivel bit. Love your beach detecting videos.

Is it end times for beach detecting? For modern fresh drop change absolutely. For the hundreds of thousands of pounds of jewellery lost on British beaches plus finds from every storm surge stripping beaches back - sure it will get harder - it already has - but for the persistent hard core few solid year round beach detectorists who know how to read a beach it’s still very much game on!!
