I see that under that oil and grease soaked grungy hat and behind that greying beard is a heart of gold. Donating to the animals is such a wonderful thing to do, Eric !!!!!! The wife and I also donate to our local " PAWS " shelter.....at Christmas it is 5 full cases of wet cat food ((5x24 = 120 meals for the kitty's) and whenever SAM'S Club has them giant bags of kitty dry food on sale, it's 100 pounds of delicious yum yum for the cats. Towel and blanket donations too !!!!! We visit the cats and spend time in the rooms petting, brushing and talking to them. And don't forget kitty litter for after dinner time !!!! And always carry a plastic bottle in your vehicle of dry kitty food with some "treats" mixed in for if you run into some hungry strays while you are out and about !!!! Help those who are not able to help themselves. | : - )

If I respected you as an awesome and wise mechanic, as an awesome husband, as an awesome father, and as an awesome human being, this made me respect you even more for all of the above. Just enough to cover the gas there and back to the shop, plus a steak for Sheba. It's wonderful that she gave up the steak so other pets have something to eat and a warm place to stay. At least you're recycling instead of letting it lay out there until it's powder and useless (like some places around here do)!

Way to go Mr.O! When my wife was still living, we adopted five or six dog's and at least 10 cat's from the local veterinary clinic. They all turned out to be excellent pet's. It was like they knew that we saved their lives. The cat's were outside to keep the rats away from our riverfront home. Being they were all spayed and neutered they never wandered off. And as long as we had cat's the Florida river rats stayed away. The often need bedding and towels. We donated old clean blankets, towels, comforters ect.

Local shelter used to allow older kids to come in, now they can only allow 17 and up to volunteer. I used to take my kids to the shelter to spend time with the animals and now they all do it on their own when they can. My son went up to the shelter and cleaned 3 days a week early in the morning so the others could take time off around the holiday, Christmas and new years days. You are a very good man Eric O.

I watched this a few days ago, but didn't have a chance to leave a comment at the time. So, back here just to remark that I am thankful for how you interact with the world... be it dog, cats or humans. Taking time to make the a world a better place for dogs and cats, supporting the humane society, taking your son fishing, loving on your daughter in your videos, going the extra mile in your work, etc. I see in you a lot of how I think God would want us all to live and it's a big reason I come back here again and again. At 3:47 Eric loading up the Ridgeline with scrap metal. I counted 4 camera set-ups and a handheld camera view of the full bed from above. Many would have gotten by with 1 set-up especially on a cold Saturday after a busy week at the shop. I particularly liked the view from the front of the bed as Eric slid the brake rotors toward the camera.

Just now watching; but First; Sheba's got it right, better to ride in the sleigh then pull it !! Especially when hand fed small bites of cheeseburger is on the menu. (How gentle of her!!) Secondly, incredibly wonderful and generous of you and family to open your home to many in need and to spread the word. I'm on my fifth rescue dog (including my last, a Husky who lived to be 17.5 - sadly passing of cancer.) All dogs go to heaven, and their people too :-)

LOVE - just love what ya did w the mad money - I used to run the Glens Falls soap box derby with what I processed. Sadly, just about couldn't buy a cup of coffee for what it would pay today.

Longest transport to date was from Alabama to Baltimore Maryland. We did that drive on 2 different occasions to bring Rescue Animals to their forever home.

Very Nice, to let us see some of the Country Side and the snow, so different looking when your not used to seeing it. And yes Sheba is spoiled, but thats not a bad thing. You can tell she loves to ride in the car with you. Now you got me thinking about volunteering at our local shelter, its only 1 mile away, hey I can mop floors, and I love animals. Sometimes it seems that we see only terrible stuff on the news. Its so nice to see there are good people also. Sometimes people throw used TVs and other trash on the side of the road, drives me crazy, so I will hook up my trailer and go collect it all up and take it to the dump, at least they have quit charging me for dumping. TVs are the big thing, people are getting rid of the huge TVs and going with flat panel, but the garbage man wont take them away, And I guess they dont have the time to take to the dump, so out the tailgate they go, it is most of what I take to the dump. Theres a Jacuzzi that I need to pickup, but Im thinking about making a Goldfish Pond out of that, but thats a 2 man operation, just to get it on the trailer. Oh, I also hated Math, among all the other things I hated about school. Sometimes its just better to teach yourself, if you dont fit into the average type person school just does not work. They need to redo the whole way they teach, but will they probably not. 77 and Sunny

Yup, that sums up my school experience to a T. First thru 6th, totally loved, anything past that, forget it. Thankfully I had great teachers during that period. I knew college wasnt in the cards for me. How I ever made it through I have no Idea. But it was really close. And the things I liked was the same, and in the same order. I was corrupted by women from the very start. I got married at 19 my wife was 17, when I was 22 I had a 3 year old. My Mom used to say people should be born smart, and then become a child as they get older. That seems like allot more fun to me. The only thing I had going for me, was I read, approx 150/200 books a year. Your best teacher is you. I can see that as your working thru a math problem while troubleshooting, it does show on camera, and thats a great thing. You are quick on the uptake of knowledge. You could of done anything with your life. And you still can. Im alot older and will never give up, its just to much fun, to be alive.

Hmmmm what could I torch up first, fun,fun.I Once took a ashcan firecracker and put it in a small green tackle box with the nice latch on it, and set it off on Sunday morning at around 7am, right before we went to Church, blew out around 10 windows in my neighbors houses.
