The smaller enemies were intentionally designed to be difficult to shoot. That's where the talon and war blade becomes useful.

And it's really easy to get rid of them, just go into next corner, let them come at you and use the war blade as you said. Works perfect for the small dinosaurs as example :-)

BewareOblivionIsAtHand. Still remember the mega cheat after all these years. Loved Turok 2 and wish I had a PC so I could play this remaster. The glowing icons for all the objectives is nice for sanities sake but they seem a little intrusive. What killed this game for me back in the day was the HORRENDOUS frame rates, it felt like it was dipping below 10 fps when the action really heated up. Seeing this run at full HD and 60 fps is quite a treat, and will absolutely transform the game.
@MrGamer56826 жыл бұрын
They should definetly remaster Turok 3 and the first thing they should do is restore the beta elements like the Lord of the Flesh which is the red-color armored Oblivion spawn. The Oblivion enemies seen on Turok 2's world portals return in T3 and they are now the main enemies but i always felt weird that that particular one didn't returned. Then a video here revealed that it was actually developed but it got cutted in the end. I think now is the oportunity to restore them so that the experience is finally complete.
@KingFossilFER7 жыл бұрын
Actually, the original N64 and PC versions had different difficulties. The original PC version was harder (enemies deal more damage) than the N64 counterpart. This version puts both the N64 and PC difficulties. Hard&hardcore are pretty much the old PC's normal&hard settings with slightly more enemy placement (and only 1 life for hardcore)

2:36 : "I really wish modern game developers would play this and take some notes." I completely agree!!! The concept of the Level Hub and obtaining keys made Turok so awesome. The simple fact that the final boss is right there in the Hub and you can't get to him until you obtain all the keys makes for an innovative experience. Any Turok game in the future MUST include a Hub and Level Keys for me to truly appreciate the game. This is why I hated Turok 3, Evolution and the 2008 remake, because they moved away from what actually worked and became bland completely linear FPS games!

How is that Turok 2 looked worse than Turok 1, I will never understand.
@Lefiath Жыл бұрын
I swear the Lands of the blind were designed by a blind man. Such s horrible level. The game starts rather strongly, but quickly descend into mixed bag, due to the horrible level design. The abilities were also underused, instead of giving you the feather and letting you use it in said level, you would go through plenty of areas you could couldn't visit, but won't even bother visiting when you finally get the feather. Unless it was for a secret, I had to desire to look what I've missed in level 2 etc, just more opportunities to get lost.
@eiszapfenderwutendenwinde32335 жыл бұрын
Yeah, level design is a mess in all Turok games. And i don't like how Turoks face is looking younger and less memorable in each new iteration. Look at Turok 1 and how corny and abstract his face looks. It makes him a unique character. Now compare this, to his smooth face in Turok 2. In Turok 3 he looks the worst. Are we still playing a grown ass adult, or a 13 year old kid with a shotgun? A face is part of a character. And if you look like a piece of paper, just like everyone else in every other generic ass game. You have failed as a designer! Player Characters always need to look memorable. Unless the Art Style of the game demands otherwise. The nameless Dude in Gothic 1 in combination with his "German" Voice, is so unique in his character and trait. Its impossible to confuse him with someone else. I will always remember this dude. Can't say the same for Turok.
@fangsabre4 жыл бұрын
Fun fact, Turok is actually not the same guy between Turok 1 and 2. I only found out like yesterday that Turok is actually a comic book character first. And in the 70s or 80s they retconned it so Turok is a title more than a name. I think Turok from 1 is one of the older Turoks, and Turok 2 is Joshua Fireseed.
