These are the BOMB. Specifically built for PVP. I play a lot of DayZ, Vigor, First Person shooter, and these basically let you hear EVERYTHING. A big “one up” on any competition you run in to. Really?? Hmm. Coming from Lucid10x, the audio... kind sucks. Theres barely any bass so explosions don't have any oomph to them. They get the job done i guess but other headphones around the same price and even by turtle themselves (my friend has the 40) offer better sound if ur looking for good, movie quality audio. Kinda disappointed with this purchase cause like I said, the sound just doesn't have any oomph to it.

Honestly I think it’s great that Turtle beach has great products overall and they have very affordable prices as well it shows they aren’t greedy and care about their fan base honestly I don’t mind spending a pretty penny maybe say $120- $150 but some of these headsets in the industry are $200+ which is way too much for what it is .A gaming headset can be used for other things however most of us will use it specifically for this bc it only has a gaming style design , also it’s not like spending that amount means the headset is comfortable, it doesn’t mean the headset is indestructible gamers are always gonna run into problems eventually down the line no matter how well you take care of your stuff Bc thing’s wear out lastly future consoles always change the designs of there consoles and controllers so what if the next future console doesn’t have 3.5 jack anymore I hope it does but it’s not up to us .The Last Gen didn’t have it so all those who spent $200+ were never able to use their old headset and just waisted money

I’ve had this head set for over 2 years already and I haven’t really ran into any issues except one where just a piece of duck tape was all I needed to fix it but really what I have to say about it is that it’s all you really need in a head set I love the recon 70’s I would recommend them to anyone .

maybe i’m toooooo rough with my headsets but i have had 3 recon 70s and all of them have broke.. the first twos jacks broke and wouldn’t work unless i sat there adjusting it every few mins and it wasn’t the controllers or anything bc i test other headsets and they worked fine with the same controllers and the 3rd ones right earphone piece snapped out of no where bc the screws for it bc loose and now can’t be fixed even with glue or tape..

I've been going crazy at GameStop switching back and forth between Cloud stinger this and that type of headphones but they all sound so low. The quality of some of the headphones I've tried sound good but the sound very low. It also depends on what your using to power the headphones, these recon 70’s are fucking EAR PIERCING when i use them with my phone. They sound amazing, better than the 60$ skullcandy uproar wireless that i had for awhile, and i was impressed with those before, but when i got these, the skullcandy’s got absolutely shat on.

Im glad you did a review from a product fresh off the shelf..... however, for anyone looking to buy an entry class headset for cheap, look elsewhere! My headset has lost all Right ear sound after only 3 months. Ive recorded my audio and have noticed it is garbled or has so much feedback that it is intelligible. My headset was from Walmart in 2021. Might be my mistake for trusting walmart but if your gonna spend money on something, don't trust this guy... he is earning enough money from youtube to put your kids through college.

I've had similar issues, first pair I could pass off as a one bad product then the second pair similar issue. They work for a short period then after a few weeks stop working. Ive played around with settings and nothing is working. I've never experienced an issue like this with headphones before. Or it's a problem with the online game.

try resetting the controller...there's normally a pinhole on the back, which which if you press and hold for like 5 seconds resets the controller....after that you should be good...if not double check your console settings

@ well when the tv on 20 is louder than the headset with the tv turned down it’s kinda hard not to have the tv turned on cause the whole game sounds like 100 yards away with the headset. I actually quit using it all together broke the headset got a new one (version has the mic that plugs and unplugs) and I’ve barely used it I have yet to get another headset that worked as good as my Xbox 360 wired turtle beach headset was and it plugged the red white and yellow into the TV and a plug for the Xbox and a plug for the controller so a fck ton of wires but I could be in the basement of a building and a hear a mouse on the roof in game

They're fine.... but honestly, I prefer the oomph sound from other same or even cheaper headsets. The sound is very basic because there's hardly any bass to them so they don't exactly have that movie theater quality to them. Its unfortunate cause I like them but the lack of bass doesn't elevate the gaming experience in any way the way good headphones do. For same price, I got the Lucid10x and the difference is mind boggling. It sounds like I'm in a movie theater with those headphones and with these, it just sounds so basic.

That wire that’s underneath the padding of the head strap will start to bore into your head after 20 minutes.. Gaming earbuds are now better than headsets. Trust me you’re going to see all the competitive pro players using the gaming earbuds in a couple of years once they finally figure it out for themselves.

Recon 50p is better when it comes to trying to talk to ppl with the mic, with the 70 you have to raise you voice more other wise its won't pick up your voice as well, and its cheaper then the 70 too

@@MrKent1111 I have the same problem with my son's. I've tried all the problem solving tips and the headset works fine on my phone. You can't hear others chat through them but game audio works fine and the mic is intermittent sometimes it registers me speaking and others it doesn't.
